How do you consume your news or opinions on the move to new tech, EVs, solar, etc?
I like the Fully Charged channel on YouTube and in podcast. I listen to the EV News Daily podcast.
Welcome to the site. The CT will help move Canada to the EV reality along with all the other EVs coming. The more people that are driving and talking about EVs will fuel the shift. I am curious about VtoG. The time between now and CT production will be full of breakthroughs in VtoG. It is...
I am not to worried about what joe public thinks of me. I drive what I want to because I want to. I do like talking to others who are interested in my vehicles.
as for family, my oldest brother is a true Alberta Oil Worker, working up in Fort Mac in the oil/tar sands. At Christmas it started...
I have been looking at ways to convert my Jeep YJ to electric. With the torque that I could get I would have a great crawler. Having said that, I keep finding other things to fix on the Jeep and that eats up the savings for the conversion.
There are some good videos on YouTube for the installation of the charger.
right now I am looking at installing a sub panel in my garage to get ready for the charger.
VtoG is going to be a big thing some day. For me it will only help on weekends. I have solar on my house however I will be away from home Monday to Friday during peak production. I will need to charge the CT up at night too so will not be feeding the grid or my house. The last issue is personal...
The CT is likely to also be built in China for the Asian market and possibly in Germany for the European market. It makes sense for building locally in the local plants in the future. I don’t see Tesla building a vehicle with its largest market in North America anywhere else but in North America.
One thing to look at too is getting a used seacan. You can use it as secure storage. I use them for this purpose. You can even build a man door in it and use it for a place to sleep. Here is what one of my friends did with a seacan.

It is hit and miss on if a garage can accommodate. You may be able to fit vertically and width wise but parking garages can be narrow and you may find it hard to find a spot you can drive into and back out of successfully. Whee I live big trucks are common and don’t fit in many underground...
We all have a gas fuelled past. I have a 1995 Jeep YJ that I love to get out with. The CT will not stop me from going out in the YJ as often as I can. I love going to car shows and I do not see the CT or electric vehicles of the future changing the love of classic cars. I do see a huge market...
this would either be extremely wide or take up bed space. Also I am not sure this could fit on the tri motor without being too wide. If the tri motor is one motor per rear tire than it cannot encroach on the bed space as the motors being side by side will take too much space. Maybe a quad motor...
