Range Extender Battery Pack increases range to 470+ miles and costs $16K 🔋

The base range will increase incrementally over time as battery density improves. A single pack design is a good idea.

Range Extender Battery Pack increases range to 470+ miles and costs $16K 🔋

Nio can change out an entire battery pack in a couple minutes. Automated vending machine. I see possibilities of an automated station for Tesla as well. I could see Tesla having these in mountain pass areas. Maybe they could drop into a boat or RV? Lots of possibilities.

Range Extender Battery Pack increases range to 470+ miles and costs $16K 🔋

The possibilities of the range extender is the only good news today. I am really interested in the interface. I have a hoist in my garage that could easily remove it. Can we plug in a big solar array to the input? Can we have a big harness to a trailer with a battery pack? I see this...

Delivery Event will start at 11am PST / 1pm CST / 2pm EST on Thursday

Who cares about how many key cards they turn over. Price, specs, and ramp up. That's what I may tune in for. Build quality already looks better.

123 kWh battery pack on Cybertruck (reported)

There was a decent article in Forbes on a start up which claimed a 40% energy density improvement from today's Lithium Ion tech. Some type of sponge lithium and improved electrolyte. I usually discount such articles as fUD. "keep waiting don't buy now" but it sounded more plausible...

123 kWh battery pack on Cybertruck (reported)

You may be right. At the minimum I hope Tesla supports 3rd party powered trailer interface with their software and trailer plug.

123 kWh battery pack on Cybertruck (reported)

$100 per KWhr is probably a decent figure for Tesla. So not too much. The problem is the space and weight.

123 kWh battery pack on Cybertruck (reported)

Spot on. Anybody think the Tesla accessories team will reveal a powered trailer or back pack battery in the works?

Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

If you wait for the reservation price you might be waiting a while. I don't think the model 3 launch was the same. Deposits were larger for one. Bottom line, don't plan on flipping it for a quick $10k or more. Tesla wants that money. After the first year bragging rights won't matter...

Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

The lease deal would be really interesting and would solve the problem. I did my first lease ever on my M3. If the purchase price on a replacement M3 goes down (or the M2 is available) then I made the right call. This price depreciation rarely happens, but it will need to be more that the...

Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

With the exception of the first ~10,000 units or so, the line won't change much regardless. There are too many transaction costs and compelling competition to make flipping viable. Ask some of the Lightning flippers.

Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

With exception of FSD reservations, the price will fluctuate even during the reservation fulfillment period as required to maintain a healthy backlog of 3-6 months of real orders with larger deposits. I am going to guess that Tesla will try to convert 5000 reservations a week until they have...

    Post-Reveal Stock Price

I don't think Elon was opposed to the original round of EV tax incentives. It allowed Tesla to reach critical mass and build out the supercharging network. This would have been virtually impossible without the government. Now that BEV is near price parity with ICE I would be fine...

Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

Thank god there are 654,114 people in front of me. I don't have to worry. I am seeing a price cut by the time my number comes around.......hmm they probably won't cut prices until they go through all the reservation. Still. No worries here.

2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

Toyota has an amazing 360 overhead view on their truck. I loved it. Way better than 4 video boxes.

2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

I never really understood trailer capacity. It should be a function of steering, braking, and motive power, with motive power being highly subjective. Do you really need to do 75 MPH up a 6% grade? That said the dual motor should have all the towing capacity of the tri motor. 14k is a...
