I ordered this last week. It ships from Canada so wanted to get ahead of any price increase risk. I watched several of the Out of Spec detail videos including the one for this product.
That's a great find and option. I didn't come across that in numerous searches, including on Amazon.
As far as it running circles around the USA-made Viair - well, it's made of Chinesium, and time will tell. They both seem capable for emergency use, but the Viair has double the flow rate (2.3...
This is a procurement forecast with an expected release for solicitation in May 2025 and targeted award of Q4 2025. These are forecasts indicating planned or potential solicitations rather than definitive, contracted, or released purchases.

Extra Wire is about 10 Feet. I cut 10" out and spliced it back together - It's two power wires (Black & Red) and a yellow coax shielded. Easy splice.
If I had it to do over I would cut and splice the camera wire directly behing the display. You can see I spliced the power cable directly...
Yes this easily fits in the Vault.
You really don't need the 7-pin Aux power plug. I started with that but wanted to use the 120VAC supply since it is much easier to get to.
You can also downgrade to a cheeper compressor.
It's 12V because the vast majority - if not all - of the small portable...
I wanted an alternative to the Tesla tire repair kit without the sealant (“tire goop”). Finding a 120 VAC portable compressor proved difficult, so I focused on 12 VDC automotive options. After some research, I chose the Viair 300P because of its positive reviews and reputation for quality...
Mine was intermittant for a while but now my phone key connection hardly ever connects. Reseting the Phone Key now is very troublesome and usually takes many attemps if at all. Have a SC appointment already scheduled as I'm hoping it a hardware issue.
Very annoying.
Same.
This wasn't always the case and not sure what update caused this to crop up.
It will reset on its own if you wait a long time but best way to fix it immediately is to click on the wifi icon, turn off, then turn back on.
Your correct I missed that - sorry.
As an FYI and additional improvement for them to work on.
I removed about 11 inches from the power cable - the pinout is in the included picture. Only three wires are used to get power to the unit even though they use an 8 pin connector. I routed the front...
I been trying to see if Tesla has any current specifications for the 7 pin trailor connector. I can see it is controlled by this Trailer ECU but would like to know if the current is limited, fuzed, and protected.
Specifically want to know how much power the auxilary pin is capable of...
Nice post and like this idea and fit.
Searching it appears a very similar item is sold by Menards and has a strap slot.

I read about this "Gen 2" as well and was curious if there are details?
I also read about the SC Lightbar install being stopped after the SC investigated the Rearview Video Mirror install - found/caused? delamination - which makes me wonder if I need to remove mine berfor scheduling the...
I use Rain-X and like it. Works well for me. Easy to get, lower cost, but tricky to apply.
Out of Spec Detailing has a long term study going on with the head to head to a couple ceramics.
The last update showed them relatively close based on what I observed in the video - although he rates...
Very odd and seems unrelated to the installation of the lightbar. Even if it was loose before they received it why would that stop them from installing the lighbar?
I'm not aware they need to get into that area for any adjustments? The lightbar doesn't get glued down far enough to interfere...
Took me 3 months. After the first cancelled SC appointment because of "parts availability" I messaged the SC several weeks prior to the next apointment to confirm that parts were on order and everything looked good. They responded - Yes.
I messeged again a week before the appointment and...

I'm also interested in finding a print solusiton for this. PCBway is an option as well - with several optons including metal.
