I still get occasional “oddities” (trying a left turn where there’s a clear “no left turn sign”) but I use it for 90% of urban trips. My wife claims I’m in danger of forgetting how to drive. I respond that I’m very good at clutching the wheel to avert oddities.
Yesterday afternoon received an ominous message; AC charging unavailable. Powerwall unavailable. When I arrived home plugged in and sure enough no charge. I did a hard restart. No charge.
Made service appointment; they’re seeing me this morning. However when I started this am all error messages...
I’ve had my awd foundation for a year and have been completely happy with it. The majority of the “recalls” have been OTA updates, so have not been recalls at all.
Accelerator fix was 10 minutes and I expect my cantrail appointment to be pretty quick on Thursday.
The steer by wire is simply...
To those who have PowerShare installed but who believe that it doesn’t work until the solar software update is installed.
I think your installer f-ed up your install. I have mine installed six months ago and though the solar won’t charge the CT I can attest the power backup works just fine...
That’s my standard practice; reassuring that others have experienced same problem. Definitely last update that caused this; hopefully future update will correct.
Over the last month or so every morning after I leave the house my CT won’t let go of my home Wi-Fi. Five miles later it’s still showing. Of course you can’t instruct navigation while it’s on Wi-Fi.
I have to go to Wi-Fi settings and disable; then it will pick up lte.
Tried a hard reset...
The direct sunlight in the camera is the most serious limitation, especially since the cameras are no better than human eyesight in that condition. Unfortunately the only likely solution is some form of lidar /radar to supplement camera.
What a stupid comment. I took over immediately that the CT started its turn towards pedestrian.
The point of my post is to advise there are limitations to FSD interactions with pedestrians.
What’s the pointt of your post?
It’s snowing in New Orleans but FSD was handling snow well and cautiously, until I came to an intersection. FSD saw the pedestrian but decided to sharply veer towards him. FSD would have missed the left turn (radius in turning towards pedestrian too sharp left).
Human intervention stopped the...
I have an Enphase controller on my 6kw solar panels; the enphase moderates the amount of power generated by the panels; eg. Sometimes the My Home page on the Tesla APP shows the house consuming 1kw of power while the panels are capable of producing g much more, so the Enphase turns the...
Normally, while the Cybertruck is not plugged in, my 6 kw of solar panels provide most of the house’s power needs (a lot of sun in the south). Because I don’t have a powerwall, if the grid goes down my solar panels do not provide power to the house. This is a safety measure to ensure that the...
I have non Tesla solar panels on my house. When my PowerShare was installed o was told that in the event of a daytime grid failure the PowerShare would not allow the solar panels to recharge the Cybertruck battery.
The installers thought Tesla would be updating g the software to enable use of...
I said “generally”; do something exceptionally stupid like accelerating while it’s engaged, well anything could happen. Or even not watch FSD carefully; but “generally” it’ll keep you out of trouble.
