From the first page of this thread, although he dropped the last zero (should be 112744100). Using the correct number I get 10624, so pretty close to the front of the line.
As the Austin's say, "good on ya mate".
Last night when answering a question about the next FSD Computer version, Elon said it would be ready in about a year. Then he said it would go into the cybertruck.
WHAT? Does this mean we are a YEAR away from first deliveries? Yikes!
I will be patient, not happy, just patient. I am not...
Yeah, but then I've got no place to lock it all up if we decide to go to town for dinner, etc.
But thanx for the suggestion. I believe I will be able to close the vault cover with just the trials bike, no worries about oil, water or gas spilling. Should get pretty good mileage that way without...
I currently own a fairly ancient pop-up trailer, TrailManor 2619.
The pros (for me): 2400 lb empty weight, low profile for minimal drag, 19ft length when trailering, 26ft when popped up, 2 queen sized mattresses.
The cons (for me): as I am getting older, it is getting harder to pop-up, no toy...
Lots of talk about pass through and frank, bit nothing about a noise canceling cabin.
This inferred from Plaid delivery day discussions. Should be great for those opting for off-road tires, even though it will still be loud for folks outside the cabin :) .
Even with high mileage freeway tires...
My wife hates riding in my 1998 GMC Sierra 1500. The ride is too harsh (she has pain issues with back, neck). I have been telling her the CT (I'm planning on the trimotor) should have a ride comfort level option that is similar to a car. Can anyone provide more insight? I know Elon hasn't...
Last point - I think there is no way that Rivian can match FSD and not charge for it. Ridiculous perspective. If they can buy it from someone, do you really think that cost won't be passed on to the consumer. If they have to develop it, I don't think a meager investment where they are not...
Like many, my first reaction to the flat sided thing (what is that? Cardboard? Perhaps that will drop away to reveal the truck? Then it stopped and people started climbing out of it. Whoa! OK Elon, hahaha, very funny, now show us the real truck. But... the things I had no clue about - $40k...
I'm pretty fed up with some of the crap from GM & Ford.
I bought a used GMC Sierra (lemon law due to recall, then fixed & resold) for about 2/3 of the going price of around $12K for a 8 yr old truck with around 100k on the odometer. What mostly infuriated my with the Sierra is the '98 was the...
Outstanding work.
However, although I realize it is done for dramatic effect, it looks like the vehicle takes around 14 seconds to accelerate from 0 with spinning wheels (much worse acceleration, hah!) until it reaches 88 mph and time travels.
I looked up various vehicles that do 0-60 in 6.5...
I watched the reveal again and Elon said 100 cuft of storage in the rear.
Then I noticed on screen it said Exterior Lockable Storage,, which I interpret to include the Vault, any storage in the "sails" which is outside the vault and probably lockable and also might include the under vault bed...
Hmmm. When I multiply 78x57 and divide by 144 I get 30.875 sqft.
Multiplying 6.5 x 5 I get 32.5 sq ft.
But not to get hung up in the weeds...
I was trying to see how much room I have to get my motorcycle inside the locked vault.
Keeping it upright will definitely be outside the vault...
I have been trying to figure out the bed dimensions (very roughly).
I took the online photo of the rear view of the open vault and measured in Visio. Then determined a multiplier (13.1) to make the width 57 inches (as noted above. BTW, what was the source for 57 inch bed width).
Then measured...
