Wait, who said anyone is blaming Tesla for anything here? This issue doesn't even affect me personally, I have just mentioned what I have read others on these forums discuss...and I said there are ways around it. It was simply said it is an "issue," that if you want something powered continually...
Some people have a Fridge/freezer permanently mounted in their footwell. Like this one:
I don't have one of these because I currently prefer to use that space for other storage for things I like to have easy access to besides cold drinks. But for those who do use these, when charging at home...
I am not (yet) living in my truck 😏.
I am just telling you what I have read about others having these issues (on this forum). I am planning to mount a Starlink HP Gen2 dish on my truck, have it powered by a Ecoflow Power Bank, probably my River 2 Pro, and then have the powerbank continually...
Well, if you mean better in that I can get any Internet signal at all vs. nothing with just my cell phone, than yeah, but I haven't even installed and tried my Stralink HP Gen2 on my CT yet, or tried it anywhere other than in my backyard. I was just attempting to plan for the best with the HP...
Sometimes people have things they want powered from the truck AC all the time, like fridges/freezers, or Starlinks they have mounted somewhere in/on the truck. So when the AC turns off while charging at home they also turn off, which is inconvenient.
There are ways around it for these things...
I just made a post in another thread and then saw this one, and the issue is related. How well did your cover go back on?...I guess you're calling it a "beauty cover?" Well, mine is more an "Ugly Cover"...at least from the passenger side anyway....
🫤...
Thanks for the idea! I already have a huge Milwaukee M18 tool ecosystem and plenty of those batteries. I also have plenty of flashlights, including an M18 Milwaukee one. Not sure how I'll get by without a convenient tray to place my valve caps though....I hope that doesn't strand me one day...
😂
My nomination in the central windshield camera cover being slightly seperated, and not a tight fit, to the windshield... but only on the passenger side. The driver side is tight to the windshield. I brought it into the service center (along with other issues), and told them they must have done...
The tint we have been talking about is aftermarket tint we got installed. I don't think Tesla would put metallic tint on it stock...but I don't know for sure... 🤷🏽♂️
Something like this is what I want simply to deflect air over the top of the RTT on my roof rack which is just a flat vertical surface 45" wide by 10" tall. I italicized something like this because this one doesn't appear to be a good one based on reviews...particularly this one which seems to...
That's a great economical solution for the problem. I would probably need a higher capacity one for all the stuff on my rack though. That one says it's only rated for 300 LBS.
Sorry, I Just now saw this post and didn't read all the response comments, but I just wanted to comment that the bumper is probably the easiest thing to fix with a heat gun. Someone may have already said this, IDK.
You can heat the thermoplastic and remold it with any piece of metal, or even...
My hopes are no longer on an extender, but rather a battery pack upgrade with not-yet-invented higher capacity batteries. Our CT batteries were designed to be removed and replaced fairly easily (or so Grok tells me anyway...).
