Same with me. Was your wiper motor replaced yet? Mine was replaced yesterday. They said a lot of the weirdness was caused by the software built in to the recalled motor. I suppose it's the firmware. I'll see over the next few days how it behaves now.
Thanks! BTW, previously, it would do what it wanted even when set to Off. I'll see how if behaves with the new motor/software. When down, it does seem like forever. I tried pressing the button and sometimes it will stay up and sometimes it goes back down. Now, that I have the new motor/software...
My windshield wiper motor was replaced yesterday under the recall. The service rep at Tesla said that there is software built into the wiper motor that had a problem and that it should work better now. Previously it was not only erratic when it was not raining but I had been in several downpours...
I had Sentry mode on and cabin overheat protection on at 100°. I noticed it was using a lot of power sitting in my driveway so I turned off cabin overheat protection. I don't remember how much I was losing but both have been turned on. I turned off Sentry mode because I have cameras with 24-hour...
I didn't get a charger with my truck. I opted to install the charger and Gateway with a Tesla certified installer. The installer said the equipment would be sent to them. I then got an email saying that I would get a voucher which I haven't received yet.
This is my first Tesla, so I never experienced a windshield wiper system that wipes the windshield when it's not raining. If it doesn't bother you, that's fine, but it bothers me. If everyone complained, they would spend the $2 mentioned in this thread for the sensor.
The wiper didn't pause at the bottom. It swiped 1/2 swipe from the side to the bottom and stayed there. That happened once in the month I had the CT.
When it activated at the other times and continued to swipe, it was sunny/ no rain or water drops. That happened 2 or 3 times in the month.
The wiper is definitely not adjusting. Sometimes, it starts working on a sunny day, and two days ago, it "adjusted" to a horizontal position at the bottom of the windshield and stayed there, where it is not very aerodynamic! The wipers on all my other cars, current and past, never adjust and...
That's one of my few complaints. The rearview camera view should be above or below the side view on the screen. Ideally, you should be able to move it where you want it.
Another of my few complaints is about the rearview camera itself. It's almost useless at night and in the rain. I get...
My windshield wiper occasionally turns on when it's not raining. A couple of days ago, while on a parkway, the wiper came down and stayed down in a horizontal position. I had to play with the wiper button a few times to get it to go back up. This is my first Tesla. A friend told me that Tesla...
I've had mine for 4 weeks 479 miles. I love it so much that I hate to get out of it when I come home. I'm keeping it SS. Part of the reason I reserved it was because it's SS, so I decided to keep it that way.
