PETG would work short term but it looks like it's not as UV resistant so it may fade quicker. It's glass point is about 20C lower than ASA so it may get soft and deform. I printed a set in PETG and going to use ASA for long term.
I designed, printed, and have some miles on lug nut caps that I made for myself. They are a snug fit and have stayed in place for over 300 miles of highway driving.
