  1. Anyone in the San Antonio area have a cybertent?

Did you try your local showroom? Some have the tent set up on the display truck.
  2. Best wiring pathway into vault.

Yes there’s lots of room in the wall space and under the bed to route wires. The gap you’d come back up through would be around the edge of the main floor panel (with the 10 or so bolts). If I remember right, there is a pretty good sized gap along the edge (6000 series vin) that allows water...
  3. Best wiring pathway into vault.

To get into the vault from the sail area, I did drill holes in the sidewall (mounting switches/etc.). If you’re trying to avoid that, the gap around the main bed floor might work for medium gauge wires. Just feed down from the sail area, behind the side wall, and up through the gap.
  4. SC issues and 170 miles from home

Saw that twice in the last couple weeks, first time unplugging and plugging in worked, second time had to move to another stall. If you’ve tried them all, I’d call roadside assistance to see if they can diagnose or reset remotely. They used to be able to troubleshoot the chargers remotely too I...
  5. OEM Crossbars versus MARS Adventure Gear

Here’s a couple pictures of the OEM track system with a thing mounted…(hinge that was part of a makeshift collapsible rack not currently installed). A couple interesting features not seen in aftermarket versions: rubber insert that holds the bolt in place while loosened, fits commonly available...
  6. Dump bed mode? Higher front suspension (extract mode) + lower rear (entry mode)?

Just noticed the same in 2025.2.9, the entire suspension menu disappeared from service mode. In 2025.8.6 it is back so hopefully just a glitch. What version are you on where it doesn’t show up?
  7. OEM Crossbars versus MARS Adventure Gear

Same here, I use the mars rack (short version so the cybertent still fits) for off grid trips since it’s more stable and versatile and use the oem bars for occasional use like picking up 16’ boards since they’re so quick to install. I do have the mars cross bars too, but stopped using them once...
  8. Feature request: auto-presenting door

Yup, it does, after exactly 30 seconds it closes enough to latch. It's not a full latch (2nd click) but it'll prevent the door from opening and allows the truck to be locked. Basically same as you described the frunk. This would need the right safely checks in place - look for the phone key...
  9. Feature request: auto-presenting door

Unless it used the sentry mode camera feed and looked for the right indications of going to open the door. Plus, after 30 seconds the piston retracts and the latch will engage enough to prevent the door from opening.
  10. Front Bumper Camera Lens Pitted

The bumper camera isn't used for FSD, so has to be from the windshield camera if a front facing picture showed up with the error message.
  11. Range Extender - Any Updates? (MAR 2025)

And since I'm dreaming...after Tesla rethinks their ways and makes the RE easily removable, they add a NACS port with powershare capability. Range extender on the truck, 47kWh whole house backup on your garage floor.
  12. Range Extender - Any Updates? (MAR 2025)

I did reserve the RE, but agree, after maybe a service center retrofit for the connector (since the current connector is definitely not user friendly), installation/removal should be something we can do safely and easily with a simple hoist. Plugging in should be as easy as plugging in a...
  13. Range Extender - Any Updates? (MAR 2025)

Was hoping the cybercab/robotaxi would use a like hardware with the range extender...could have brought cost down and volume up, but looks like the cab battery is even smaller than the (planned) range extender. Here's hoping the RE is released this year...
  14. Charging options?

120V/15V alone would be tough for a daily driver. You’d probably lose more than you could charge every day not making more than 30-ish miles over night. 220V/30A dryer type outlet would get you closer to a full charge overnight, but a 50A outlet (allows 40A to the truck) would be my...
  15. Storing a Cybertruck for months - ok to not leave plugged in?

80-20 should be fine for any Tesla. I used that technique from time to time with my now 12-year old model S with no appreciable battery degradation over 10 years (beyond what I would consider normal 5-10%). I’d been concerned and surprised if the MV battery dies after a month or two - I haven’t...
  16. Way to customize range for Cybertruck when towing a trailer

15% planned reserve seems high. I usually plan to 5% or less and check there is a charger somewhere at the 75-90% leg distance that can be used as a backup. By that point on each leg, you’ll have a very accurate estimate of actual efficiency that day and see if your arrival % is trending up or down.
  17. Way to customize range for Cybertruck when towing a trailer

The ABRP app isn’t bad for customized trip planning in advance. I’d start with a 65mph reference consumption of 800wh/mi assuming an average sized travel trailer. Once you hook up and go, you’ll start getting accurate estimates in the truck very quickly, it doesn’t take multiple trips.
  18. How much you are willing to pay/buy the supercharger for life?

Yup, it’s just not a product that Tesla will ever sell. It’s used as an incentive to get sales, that’s it.
  19. Vault Leakage / Water Tight

The bed is not water tight and air tight like doors or trunks/frunks (and not designed to be), but you definitely shouldn’t get water leaking in during normal driving/parked in rain storms with the original design. I haven’t tried automatic car washes - with a pressurized spray from the right...
  20. How to make the frunk button more useable

Get a front plate, aim for the middle? Helps a bit with practice, but agree it’s a terrible location and isn’t natural to anyone I’ve seen without practice. Auto open is just as bad - a video based auto open + phone key would have been awesome so it immediately opens when it sees you walking...
