It mounts either on side of rack or on top. Comes with both styles of mounting hardware. With side mounts used it's flush and can put an "overloader" tent on top.

I did the 7ft Kammock and a 270 degree wrap around. Like the fast action of Kammock. Depending on mounting preference you still can put a tent on top with either canopy.

My inverter and controller failed in July. My truck is from Feb line. It Was replaced and programming had to be done. So since mine was in the date of these vehicles built with faulty parts I will be getting a second one installed. It's a 14hr ordeal so, get ready for a two day loaner.....

This set up worked great, towing, no need to remive tire towing, bike racks, camera relocation, no kit needed to hitch area, has no effects on FSD or parking assist.
