Same retiree here. Hopefully the stocks would rebound when full production starts so I can determine whether to upgrade to tri or stay. However, dual is not good enough for 300 mile range where I live. Range Anxiety makes it not worth it.
In my opinion, a quad would never be below $80K. I'm hoping the tri won't be over $80K. With these delays, I don't know where the price is going. $79,999 is tops for me. I have range anxiety with my Model 3 LR. Dual won't work for me because of that reason. Unless dual would be upgraded to 400...
I thought the delivery would start end of 2021. I thought the tri would be around 80K at that time. I ordered dual but will change to tri. If the price goes above 80k, it would be hard for me. I wish I could get the tri as my Model 3 LR now gets low mileage due to the terrain where I live.
I believe you. My order was Aug 2021 which is 2 years behind I guess. Hoping it would get cheaper when my delivery comes. But, I'm nearing 80 y o by then. Hope I could still enjoy the ride.
I simplified my comment to the law of supply and demand. I think their innovative manufacturing process will help bring down the price but the difficulty of ramping up 4860 battery production to meet the demand "at this point" may negate that advantage.
I'm thinking when my CT arrives, I will haul my fellow golfers 4 of them for every game that's played 40 miles away so these non- believers of EV will realize what they're missing.
You've done a great job doing the measurements. I just got accepted as a member today - no April Fools. ?How about the wheels? Have they extended a couple of inches adding to it's width?
