Went from getting a minivan to a Cybertruck. The perfect family hauler.

Very cool, yeah our XC 90 T8 ended up being a lemon unfortunately, we had tons of issues with that car within 20k miles. I agree with everything about the van, it just has utility that is undeniable.

LOL she’s 15 years old, she was very surprised at what the heck we just pulled into the garage where she likes spending most of her time. She also like de-clawing on the tires unfortunately, but it won’t make any difference haha.

Hey there. I’m also in Fresno, would you mind sharing where you went? Sounds like it might have been elite auto spa?

100%! I couldn’t believe what the van was going to cost and I’m frankly blown away at what we got for a bit more for the cybertruck. Thank you! Looking forward to a lot of memories with the family and agreed, it’s a very calm and quiet ride, we love that about it.

Yeah man, absolutely too expensive for what it is. We test drove everything out there too, I don’t understand why they’ve gotten so pricey. Terrible value for what you’re getting, but apparently they can’t make enough of them. They’re great for utility! But for 40k at the most, 60k+ is...

Thank you! Yeah, I’m pretty excited about the software updates, my brother is a model Y owner and my mom has a model 3, they both wouldn’t stop talking about Tesla so you could imagine their excitement when I got the cybertruck. Pretty psyched!

    OEM Crossbars: Received and Installed

The way most of these load bars work is there’s a T-bar running down the middle that lets you slide accessories onto it, and then tons of other accessories have sort of like a claw that simply grabs onto it tightly, many roof cargo boxes for example. Other products are designed to work with...

    OEM Crossbars: Received and Installed

Very cool, they do look great. I’ve been looking at these vs aftermarket specifically for mounting an upright bike into it but considering the bike would be either on the very left or right, I worry that it’d not be vertical, putting some extra load onto only one side of the bike frame and...

Awesome!! Yeah my wife absolutely geeked out over the fact that we can just throw everything in the back, there’s been a ton of tetris-ing in the past with our SUV so it’s very refreshing. And with a tonneau protecting everything from debris, it’s just so ideal.

No, we’ve got a Volvo XC90 but it’s been sitting at the dealership in service for a month now for water flooding into the back from rain. Never ever buy a Volvo, gigantic lemons, so I’m trying to obtain a refund currently. Hopefully it all goes through, either way we’ll be replacing it with the...

lol definitely still incomparable to the utility and interior size of a van. The rear of the X slopes down and is smaller than many SUVs even, it’s smaller than the XC90 we have for sure and that’s already very limiting in size. The X is ideal for adults, or a family with older kids, it’s really...

That’s awesome, so far she’s afraid to drive it haha, but she loves the model X.

Problem is we can’t, when you’ve got three kids all in car seats there’s a double stroller, cribs, bassinets, so much large crap that’s gotta come with them. Our Volvo XC90 is a 6 seater with captains chairs, with three car seats you’ve got to have captains chairs because otherwise there’s no...

No van hate, they’re great utilitarian vehicles, they’re just slow and boring to drive is all, and I don’t understand why they make them so ugly. Tesla needs to make a sexy minivan (other than the robovan) and change the game!!

    Cross Bars Utility

I cycle a lot so I bought a Thule TopRide rack and an accompanying front wheel holder. I plan on buying the Tesla branded load bars but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, still looking at some other options but I’m 90% going to go with teslas. Anyone know who manufactures it? Anyway I’ll upload...

We have a 2 month old, a 1.5 year old, and a 3 year old. 3yo is in the middle, so I put a tempered glass screen protector on the screen lol. Luckily she’s a pretty calm kid so hopefully we’ll be good, but solid advice.

Yeah I looked into this a lot as well, the only reason we got a Volvo in the first place was because it’s safe and felt like a tank, now we actually have a tank. Definitely feel very safe in it.

Went from getting a minivan to a Cybertruck. The perfect family hauler.

So the story is that my family and I were extremely close to getting a 2025 Toyota sienna van and instead we pulled the trigger on a cybertruck and we couldn’t be happier. We’re a family of five, my wife and I and our three girls all in car seats, plus a golden retriever. We had a deposit on a...
