And, to top it off, it's developed a new whistle sound at 75 mph that my passengers can hear also. Tesla service this morning, before I replied I about the new 75 mph, said "you'd likely need to bring this concern up again in the future so we can see if the bulletin is active".
I replied, "I'll...
Also, here are their notes.
I also added my service replies to the app, said "Like you said,it's still easy to reproduce at 45 and 47 and you mentioned your service center won't review it anymore right? I'll monitor and if issue arises, is it fine to take to another service center?" LOL. I...
Very frustrating for sure. I'm going to run it a little today as we can still share feedback and service messages for 24 hours in app. Gonna let them know it's still the same.
But yeah, I'd be super interested in your findings when you go in. If it's the rear, which seems likely, I might see...
I'll recant my statement, it's definitely not fixed. Now instead of me reproducing at 47 mph every time, I can easily reproduce at 45 mph and it regen vibrates the same. Somewhat long story short, advisor said that at this point, they're aware of older vins doing this, they have some new...
I got it back today. Sort of fixed, but vibration persists. It’s probably 10% better. They replaced front motor, said it’s basically so similar to many other trucks that this is the best for right now. “Within spec” basically lol.
Well, was supposed to get back today. They called, said they ran into an "issue" lol. I'm awaiting advisors text/callback to let me know what the "issue" was. Now scheduled for Thursday. lol
Yep, service just called and said the front drive unit is the culprit. They're replacing it and will swap today, so most likely I'll get back Monday or Tuesday he said.
Very good to hear. I have my appointment scheduled for this Wednesday to address this. Mine is very easy to reproduce so I'm hopeful they'll easily reproduce also. I have a drop-off scheduled at 6am, shows they open at 8, wish I could have tech ride with me, but it's so easily reproduced, I'm...
I've isolated 90% of my dash rattle to the vent direction fins in dash. I can slip my fingers in the fins while it's rattling and it's definitely that for me. On one of my service tickets, I had originally seen where they mentioned vent clips or something, then those comments mysteriously...
I still have a really hard regen vibration, can reproduce every time. I go up to 47 then just let off just slightly, almost in-between releasing pedal and pressure on the pedal, just in-between, it has a hard regen down to 44. Sometimes at higher speeds, can reproduce also, 62mph and slight...
Yeah, I won't try a diy after reading all the instructions they need to do. It's crazy how many clips are under there, so much room for rattle. https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybertruck/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-2BDFEC2F-FFAC-4455-9287-652449F18B02.html
I'm not even going to have it fixed yet. Only I know the gap is there and the gap doesn't prevent the water, for mine anyway. When I re-did the gasket seal, it works almost perfect. When it warms up, I'm going to put a little more gasket at the corners and I have some leftover rubber seal...
The gap has a rework service code, attaching url here. Gap can definitely be fixed. I really don’t think the gap fixes the water ingress, the rubber gasket does. This is more aesthetic. Your service “fix” is my worry lol. Take in a perfectly functioning tonneau and get back a hassle lol...
