I'd love to think that Tesla did their own research and wouldn't sell a glass sunshade without testing it at least somewhat. I would find it hard to believe that this scenario would have caused this particular issue, but it's an interesting anecdote nonetheless.

Please keep us posted on this. I'm very much in agreement with you. Why is my equipment being held hostage by someone else? Give me the equipment or some form of compensation. There has to be a legal avenue for this if Tesla doesn't make good on it somehow.

I was quoted $2025 from Trout Electric in SoCal. I already have a wall charger so that's a 5 min $325 swap, and apparently $650 in fees. They didn't mention any tax credits. Install a Tesla supplied gateway within 5 feet with a backup switch. This will be a whole home backup. 1,050.00...

Who are you calling out of curiosity? I got my VIN last week, but still have no delivery center option to choose from. I know we are on hold because of the accelerator pedal snafu but wondering who I can start bugging after that.
