It’s less about them documenting that the covers do indeed need to be removed, it’s more about the practicality and functionality of the design. Like I said, not the end of the world, but for convenience sake it would’ve been nice if the valves could be accessible without removing the covers. so...
With my model S, the aero covers still allow enough tire valve exposure to add air to the tires with the covers on. However, with the new aero covers for my CT with all season tires, it appears the valves are deep enough that I need to remove the aero covers if I want to add air to the tires...
Stupid questions – do you drive with the tailgate down and the bikes level, or with the tailgate up and with the rear tires sitting on the top of the tailgate?
If the tailgate up, do they bounce around or do you somehow tie them down?
If the tailgate down, any issues with seeing turn signals...
Have you tried mounting these in reverse - with the rear wheels in the front of the bed in the bike rack, and turning the front forks in the back of the bed, to see if you can close the trunk lid? Also, any issues traveling with the truck lid open – do brake lights and tail lights still show up...
Seen multiple companies, essentially giving the exact same storage bin under the rear seats. Here’s my wish list which I think would significantly improve versatility and functionality, and I would be happy to pay the price for it. Would love to hear what others think as well.
Here’s my under...
picked mine up a few days ago - gray interior, all season core tires. Aero-cap covers included (but weren’t put on). West Chester PA delivery center (not sure why as Mechanicsburg is at least an hour closer to my home).
used checklist from EverydayChrisTesla on Etsy - which I highly...
Well, patience is a virtue and what once sucked is now un-sucked. Just got a new replacement VIN - about 650 cars later. Woo-hoo! Awaiting to be messaged about delivery window … soon. ?
Yikes, that was thoroughly depressing, but also grounding. Need to keep in mind that I’m lucky enough to be able to afford such a vehicle, and I just need to be patient. There are about a billion worse things in this world. ?
Enuf in acct. that wasn’t issue. Either they gave my car to someone else (grr) or an irreparable problem with that vehicle. Maybe it slipped off the transport and down a ravine and off a cliff onto a propane tank. Maybe …?
still hopin’ for a new VIN soon.
See above. I did all the tasks except make the final payment. Didn’t make sense to me to pay $107,000 for a car I’ve yet to see or get. However, that tab says “pay remaining balance now to avoid delays in delivery.“ did they remove my Vin because I didn’t make a final payment? There was no...
Well this sucks. Got my VIN 2 weeks ago, filled out all the insurance info, did everything except make final payment , anxiously awaiting delivery date, and .. POOF - my VIN is now GONE. WTH? Now I am back to square 1 …. ?
any ideas why they would assign me a specific VIN and then take it...
Hah. I expected someone to give a snarky Tesla-esque response - “soon”. We all know what means ?. Sounds like this config is still a rarity for delivery. Hopefully a carrier is driving north as we speak. ?
Got my VIN for CT with gray interior/all season core tires over 2 weeks ago and not a peep from Tesla about delivery. I am in PA. Anyone from PA or close by state get a delivery date yet for CT with all season tire config? Inquiring minds want to know…
yes, both interior color (white or gray) and tire type (AT or AS) are now available again on the cybertruck order page. Suspect this means they have depleted their oversupply of CTs with AT tires or have an ample supply of AS tires ... or both.
Woo-hoo! Tires look great. Wheel covers - I’m plus minus but at least ya got ’em so you have choices. Hearty congrats and enjoy the ride. If you’re able to get some data around range for highway driving that would be awesome. but most importantly - enjoy!!
Wow-you may be one of the very first people to get the all season tires configuration !!!. Best of luck, and please keep us posted - let us know if you get wheel covers, and also… Send lots of pics!
hopefully I’m not too far behind you – although I’m up in Pennsylvania so not sure what the...
