Or Toyota for not making their Prius into full EV. They are coming up with Tacoma, but still a hybrid and with very little improvement in MPG. And yet, Tesla's battery manufacturer is Japanese: Panasonic.
  2. Any of you Southern Californians heard of Salton Sea? Sounds promising...

If the solution to Salton Sea is a an outfall then we need Mexico's cooperation as waste water flows south. Like the way Texas helps California when the latter flush their toilets. As Florida does for New Yorkers.:p

If Mexico's water flows into Salton Sea, would that mean they have right to share in the lithium that would be mined, extracted and produced?

In fairness, Ford is just months delayed in their promise while Tesla is now going 3 years on Cybertruck and might go decade long on Semis, lol.
  5. Cybertruck width oh my!

Yeah, do what they do in parking spot limited Taiwan. There is no car there without a ding, or intact bumpers front or back.. Just put it in. You'll come out ahead anyways with that tougher stainless skin..

is this new development? Got email from Ford saying that orders won't be open until December. I told my dealer though to put me at the end of the queue. I'll wait until reviews about F150 Lightning are out and users have actually tested its capabilities and quality.
  7. Musk: Production Cybertruck Will Look Better Than Concept and Feature Advanced Towing Software

The Cybertruck having this advanced towing tech features makes me consider keeping my RV trailer for a while. Then final decide which to keep when Lance comes up with Cybertruck custom truck camper. Besides it will be cool to test those different towing scenarios with this feature. Blog the...

Least this thread devolve into coffee topic, my favorite is espresso from an Italian outdoor cafe while watching svelte signorinas go by. But then in practical day to day reality, I have a Nespresso using the Intenso pod while wife keeps on reminding me about leaking faucet that I promised to...

And if this is Tesla compatible chargers, I can charge and get my good coffee at the same time (Pilot in I-5 Lost Hills have the best coffee -- and the cheapest gas along that corridor).
  10. Import from US to Canada to save money

I'm letting my brother use my name for his Cybertruck.
  11. Before AirStream there was "exoskeleton" Bowlus Road Chief trailer

I'm looking for a boat. Turn upside down and convert it to a trailer. :p
  12. Tesla 4680 Battery Cell Teardown Disassembly // 4 hours in 1 hour (The Limiting Factor - Part 1)

My son who used to work for Tesla said it is and the design sections are the top secret part of the facility. Although technically he should have access to all, he needs special permit to be able to enter these areas. He told himself, see if sparks starts flying inside if they would dispense...

Been there and the dried up part looks like a salt lake. It's so toxic that only the hardy tilapia survives. Mono Lake is more toxic. No fish survive there but I don't know the mineral composition of the lake. I hope so too but they said there is enough of lithium in Nevada.

I would agree. With not much to do when we were assigned into some remote work location, we made some informal experimentation with company's fleet of vehicles as it's optimal ecomical speed. We did come up with some numbers. And with the sophisticated Tesla on board computers, it could track...
  15. Solar range extender prototype

Someone here posted a solar panel on bendable sheet I think by an inventor in Australia. I wonder the surface area of Cybertruck if they can come up with sheets that can adhere to the body of the Cybertruck. In which case, I don't have to clad mine with camo wrap..

Sorry for mis-understanding on that attempt of brevity. I was driving a puller with an RV trailer, not the logging truck.
  17. .

Seeing that you are from WA, my scariest was in Coastal 101 encountering triple trailer logging trucks on full load barreling down on sharp curves on the two-lane portions of the freeway whle pulling my RV. My close call was going downhill to Lee Vining at Yosemite's 9,000+foot Tioga Pass...

My iCE RV puller gets mileage reduction of 50% while humping the notorious Donner Summit. As i observed, the mpg reduction is also a function on whether the humping is just a quickie or extra long until you reach her peak. So I won't be complaining if I get the same off my Cybertruck...

  20. How many Miles Will my EV Get When Towing?

Although I have the ideal 25-ft RV with the happy wife contented in it's sofa and bathroom, am planning to downsize to a camper trucker. I hope Lance would come up with it's customized model for the Cybertruck. And intuitively, it would not be too much a drag (pun intented) vs my current RV...
