Good idea. This is exactly what I did. Just a short cord does the trick. I leave it there and routed it out of the way.

Yes, you won’t regret it. It’s pricey but it is HEAT REDUCING & it protects that huge dashboard from heat damage and aging prematurely. I showed this video to my tint installer. They said it was their first CT but they were better prepared because of this video from OCDetailing.
