I suspect that wouldn't help much. The problem we have with charging now is limited to battery capabilities, not the charger. As the chargers get faster, the batteries can only handle max input for a very few minutes before they start tapering down. Even with the CT's larger battery, I don't...
I think it would be nice if Tesla gave us a charge port on the front, passenger side of the CT. This would allow those of us with trailers more options for charging without unhooking.
I wonder how much trouble it would be to add a second charge port if Elon doesn't give us one in the front.
I live full time in a 40 foot fifth wheel. I've ordered a CT in hopes that it can pull it, but it's not likely. If it can't, I'll have to switch to the semi, or stay with diesel for a while longer.
My plan is to tow for about 200 miles on a travel day, then stop for lunch and a charge, then...
I'm hoping the CT will replace my F350 which I use to pull my 18k lb 5th wheel. My guess is that it won't be up to the job, so I'll have to keep my F350 until I know for sure.
I'll likely know before my number comes up because I'm pretty low on the list. I've considered getting the Tesla semi...
I think Ford produces a truck every 1.5 minutes on a single line. If Tesla can match that, and the CT has one line, then I'd expect almost 6000 trucks a week working 6/24. This of course assumes there are not slow downs do to supply shortages, and they've worked all the kinks out of the...
