My 26 I picked up 2 weeks ago needed a height sensor too, passenger side front to be exact, I could sometimes push the connector in and it would work for a while, sometimes days but always came back until the replacement last week

never heard the pump until I just now when I pushed in the connector. Then heard it a couple times is all. I'm going to go down to the service center tomorrow (3 hour drive) and MAKE them put a sensor on, it couldn't take more than 5 minutes...
Ok did some home diagnosing, if I push the connector for the right front height sensor in at the sensor and where it plugs in the suspension error goes away temporarily until I hit a medium sized bump.
