Absolutely right. Between my experience with this sunshade and the fiasco of my bull bar I'm not doing anything else to my truck. It's not remotely worth the headache.
Ordered mine June 23 received it July 16.
I have mine and quality control missed some key things.
1. Side brackets are too long. I have to squeeze the frame in between them and it's causing the slides to bind and squeal.
2. The wiring harness caused an audio fault to constantly be displayed...
Which part?
Not moving the camera blocks a bit of the view from the front camera.
But moving it to the included mount deletes the ability to wash the front camera and exposes the wires if they reach.
Lose, lose if you ask me.
I didn't like how exposed the camera was and the loss of the washer was a deal breaker for me.
If I could have kept the washer I would have wrapped the wires in something like metal split wire loom.
Exactly and you lose the ability to use the camera washer and expose the wires to the camera to easily get damaged.
If you decide to mount the camera make sure you turn off the truck and hopefully it won't cause the camera error making you go into service mode to reset the cameras to fix it
I had to contact @Tesstudio here in the forum, through two WhatsApp numbers and through Facebook. I sent 5-10 videos and daily emails for at least a month and have been waiting 10 days now for the harnesses and controller to fix the issues which it probably won't forcing me to do a chargeback...
