I haven't had many reactions in a while since the trucks are mostly everywhere in Florida now.
But had a couple recent ones that took me back to the old days.
One was a small kid and his mom excited about the truck and looking at it. It was the first in a while. I let them look around. It's a...
This is really something that worries buyers way more than owners. It's a large hurdle for the average person. They think in gas terms. Not the fact that they can just plug the car in at their house. It's way easier owning an EV.
It looks really nice! Is that really going to be 45k though? Seems like it will be more.
Not sure this is a Model Y competitor. Looks to me more like it will cannibalize the sales of the R1S.
Thanks I got it out I had to use tongs to reach in where the little devil put the insulation nest. Not sure what the part is that the mouse used as the bed area but it's a metal part that is like a bowl behind this fluid tank.
I did find that the outer plastic on the cable that disconnects the...
I opened the top part of my frunk plastic and found one of those insulation nests. I don't see any wire damage though. Where do they get that white insulation from and does it need to be replaced?
It's been well over a year since I encountered anything negative. Still get the occasional person taking a pic or staring. Or a kid wanting to look at the truck.
I just don't see who gets excited for this. Maybe some EV nerds. Seems very niche. Especially with all the extras that needed to be added in order to get it to the same level as a current vehicle.
I would just get a used Lightning or Silverado.
One got in under the frunk in my Juniper. I didn't know until I took out the frunk tub to install a soft close kit. Found all the insulation made into a nest and smelled like animals. I cleaned it out as best I could and put one of those peppermint oil metal tins inside where it was at. I better...
FSD will be safer when the human controls are removed. People are too impatient. And they have developed bad driving habits over the years that they think are correct.
were you able to report it after disengaging? Sometimes when things surprise me I'm not able to do the report quick enough. I wish there was a way to do the voice report later.
I think the upgrade from a horse to a car is a much easier choice. It's a big difference. That's more like going from radio to TV.
Some people see a car as a car. It gets them from point A to B the same no matter if it's an EV or gas.
Not sure if this was mentioned here but this seems to have something to do with the February 14th deadline from the California DMV about false advertising. So they didn't decide to just stop selling FSD for their own reasons. I guess we will see what happens with that.
It’s easy Tesla and Ford and GM went for the full size truck market because that’s the segment that sells millions per year. They forgot to figure out if full size truck buyers actually wanted EVs.
