  1. What price point will you cancel your order?

It's a relevant question if Tesla follows their typical model and delivers the most expensive versions first. For Tesla to sell 250k per year, IMO, it has to be under $70k, but I don't believe the initial trucks will be under $80k.
  2. It is going to be hard to make it affordable

“So the Cybertruck is a hard car to make. Because it’s such a radically new design, you can’t just use conventional methods of manufacturing. We had to invent a whole new set of manufacturing techniques in order to build an exoskeleton-based car instead of an endoskeleton-based car,” He said...
  3. What price point will you cancel your order?

I'd be fine up to $100k pre-FSD as long as it has the range, interior room, and other features I'm looking for.
  4. It is going to be hard to make it affordable

He said the opposite about the exoskeleton last night.
  5. It is going to be hard to make it affordable

There's a lot of hints that initial CT will be priced above 80k. I think that's fine, just like the Plaid or Hummer, there will be people to pay that. That doesn't mean there won't eventually be a lower priced truck, which is obviously essential for scale. Last night was the first I heard...
  6. What's a deal-breaker for you?

I even said IF that's what they mean. For the TFL test. It wasn't a Platinum, 70 degrees, there was a slight cross wind, and they were comparing it to a v8 GMC. The reason I want 400+ EPA miles is because in real world scenario, which is typically over 70 mph you have such a detrimental hit...
  7. What's a deal-breaker for you?

No. Tesla and Audi use a different method for EPA than others such as Ford. This has been commonly reported. It's not a lie as it's within the guidelines, but this method which gives them more favorable EPA range and why they typically fall further behind, even if they have more total range, in...
  8. What's a deal-breaker for you?

I have. That's the point. As Tesla cannot change physics, I need the CT to have more range than the Lightning to satisfy my towing requirements. I'm not asking for 500 miles at 7,500lbs like someone else said earlier, but I do need 150-200 miles. As I said earlier, capacity is a big factor...
  9. What's a deal-breaker for you?

At this point there's a ton of test that show this in real life like The Fast Lane Truck side-by-side test. MotorTrend had similar results at 90 miles. Then there are maybe 10 or 15 other, anecdotal, examples on the Lightning forum where the range just isn't enough. Trying to play the whole...
  10. What's a deal-breaker for you?

ICE vehicles also have the ability for more capacity. That's why these range tests in the R1T and Lightning are so polarizing when a 6,000lb boat (7,000 with trailer) can only be towed 58 miles with a Lightning, but the same boat was previously towed over 200 miles with a gas F150...or the side...
  11. What's a deal-breaker for you?

Normally I wouldn't, but traveling without my computer handy.
  12. What's a deal-breaker for you?

That's not my post. It's from this thread that someone said would be a deal breaker. Quoting without replying is annoying on my phone. I just copied and pasted it.
  13. What's a deal-breaker for you?

Towing/hauling: My towing-mission requires 500+ mile range and a tow-rating >= 7500lbs (to support my travel trailer). If that doesn't materialize That's what I responded to. I just said if he was saying 500+ mile range while towing 7,500 lbs that's not possible. But if it's 500 mile range...
  14. What's a deal-breaker for you?

It's not really. I understand that that drag is worse than weight in towing but without diving into that, because it's been addressed 1,000 times, I just shortened it with examples which you and everyone else seemed to understand. 500 miles of towing a 7,500lb camper is not going to happen on...
  15. What's a deal-breaker for you?

It appears we aren't getting a mid-gate, I doubt we get V2L, but my deal breakers are: - Range: I want 400 miles unloaded at interstate speeds. - Backseat head space- It looks short. Can't be too short. - Interior room- Needs to be as big or bigger than the Y for seating. - Center Console- I...
  16. What's a deal-breaker for you?

Pretty much guarantee it won't get 500+ miles while towing 7,500lbs. You are basically asking for 1,000 miles of range unloaded. I think 250 miles is more realistic looking at the F150 and Rivian. The battery would have to be absolutely massive to get over 500 miles while towing (only 1 EV...
  17. How do I finance my Cybertruck? Will Tesla want more money at the time of config tool release?

I believe varies state to state, but in North Carolina you do not have to pay prior to your delivery appointment. With the 3 Teslas I've purchased, I showed up with the check from my bank, inspected the car, and then gave them the check before hitting "accept delivery" in the app.
