I am having a real problem with YouTube music. It seems to play all the music I want when I'm on wi-fi, but when I'm on the road it plays none of the popular music I want.
For example, I search for "guns n roses". It pulls up all the proper search results just fine -- albums, songs, etc. But...
I was pleasantly surprised to see my car update to 2024.32.5.4 today, despite being updated to 2024.32.5.3 just a couple of days ago. Probably just some tweaks and/or bug fixes. The release notes don't offer anything new.
Over the last two months of ownership the wiper has done a phantom wipe maybe 3-4 times. My recollection is that it happened when the sun is low in the sky and the car obviously interprets some odd shadowing or something that sets it off.
I have a RAM 1500 with the typical rain sensor that...
Finally! My truck is downloading 2024.32.5.3 right now. The weird thing is that this morning, maybe 5-6 hours before it started downloading, the Software tab checked for new updates and said it was up-to-date. So I guess it does check for updates more than once every 24 hours.
This sounds like one of those "I don't use no stinking backup camera thingy" threads. Like it or not, things change. Embrace change and you'll be happier.
I removed the useless rearview mirror completely and used the space to stealth-mount a radar detector, using a mirror tap cord for power...
I have seen a bunch of videos of non-owners trashing other people's Cybertrucks. You know, standing on the window and jumping until it cracks, stuff like that. That's not ok in my book. But if you think it's cool for owners to perpetuate this stuff, then I guess you do you. I'd rather not...
I hate that this is a thing people do because it encourages all the low IQ people out there to do the same thing to people's Cybertrucks. Plus it's just really stupid to do stuff like that to your truck.
I can confirm no Homelink, but MyQ does work well. The phone app is very good, so there is additional benefit to the subscription if that's the way you decide. The one negative -- my understanding is that the Tesla MyQ feature does not operate gate controls, only garages.
I've taken mine to a touchless wash multiple times with good results. Cash Wash mode locks everything down in an instant. Sprayway glass cleaner handles everything between washes.
Sorry to the people who enjoy watching those guys, but I think their review is ridiculous. The one dude looks like he just rolled out of bed. The other guy says he'd pick the Ford truck for off-roading, but not the model they're actually using in the comparison. He wants the "small battery"...
That first time driving off in the Cybertruck was amazing. The uncertainty of driving something so different from years of muscle memory. You realize very quickly that all the advancements in driving technology are generational improvements. The driving experience in all other cars...
The video was great and then turned sour. It actually pissed me off when he started saying that you can't use it as a real truck. I'm a RAM 1500 owner, and I immediately put my new Cybertruck to use hauling stuff and doing other "truck things". No problems, and in fact it has many more...
The Cybertruck (and I assume other Teslas) have a fantastic Message app to be able to read and respond to text messages while not taking your eyes off the road. And you don't need to unlock your phone to get it to work properly.
I just got notification that the Mcevkeln CCS1 to NACS Adapter has been shipped (coming directly from China). Will try to leave some general impressions here when it arrives.
