Actually, I've seen them look up a vehicle in transit on their system before at the service center-- they were able to see its current location (on a train) and its estimated time of arrival (down to the minute). They mentioned that these times are not always reliable, and they are frequently...
If it's a bit of oxidation, then making a thick paste with baking soda and rubbing the area with a microfiber cloth might help. It might be possible to remove it without changing the pattern in the stainless steel much.

but only if you don't mind damaging the stainless steel
another thought: dish soap + microfiber cloth (and/or a melamine sponge in the tough spots)
But is that organic? Is it maybe a bit of oxidation?
@ElectricT3ch Are you checking "Vehicle details" in the app? My VIN showed up there without notice. It still has my reservation number at the top in the app, but the details has the VIN.
@ChiTownCT I thought I'd see more. Around me, I see Rivians and Lightnings every single day, often times...
From what workers tell me (plain customer-facing people, not some high level insider), Tesla is just delivering as fast as they can and they don't care about the details of each purchase. Trade-in, finance, cash, etc. -- it just doesn't enter into the equation. They have logistics (e.g...
Same here. I'm an RN1128 holder- hours after the presentation- and plenty of people ordered after me with way higher RNs and already have their trucks or at least have a date. Sigh. There are larger injustices in the world. I'll live.
I'm guessing Tesla is just prioritizing moving trucks, and...
Ugh. Sorry. Covered by warranty, I hope.
It looks like a bit of a process.

I grabbed about 20 of the most recent data in the database to estimate when particular VINs are being delivered. So this is not authoritative at all. I'm just entertaining my own curiosity and sharing in case anyone else gets a kick out of it. There were some apparent outliers but I left them in...
@Pops: One is just in a booster seat at the moment. The lap thing is cute. I'll think about that. Lumbar support pillows, the ones that are just "backs" and nothing under you, are sort of what I'm thinking of. Maybe I should just try one and see how it goes.
@Gaximus: The Model Y back seat...
Cybertruck sales so far: at least 30,000 so far (50,000 maybe? speculation on my part)
Delorean DMC12s sold fewer than 10,000 over entire run, all years.
Pontiac Aztec sold fewer than 30,000 even in its best years.
Ford Lightning sales haven't gone over 30,000 in a year yet...
The seat backs of the rear seats don't tilt back at all. It's okay for short trips, but I have kids and on long drives they sometimes doze off, and it's nice if they don't have to flop forward or to the side. Are there cushions that they can sit on that let them tilt back a bit? They're small...
