Reviving the possibilities of onboard battery extender

I’m not so sure the demand isn’t there. Demamd is both in numbers and amount of desire. I’d be willing to pay through the nose for another hundred miles. People keep saying that the 300 mile range is all they need “most of the time“ I need 400 mile range at least once or twice a month to get...

Do the OEM All-Terrain Tires Warrant a Recall?

No problems on beast at 38k miles. Will probs get new tires at end of summer when it’s closer to 50k

New Cybertruck Owner (First Tesla & New to Group) (Please Read)

Welcome to the family! Phantom drain is negligible if sentry mode is off. My experience having left mine at the airport for a couple weeks at a time is that it drains maybe 1% per day and century mode is off. Century mode is on it drains about 5% per day.

    Starlink Mini and CT

I had it on the dashboard. The windshield is not tinted though. I’m trying it under the tinted glass in the back.

    Starlink Mini and CT

Just got back from a road trip to DC. The Satelite wasn’t working half the time because it way overheated. I didn’t have that problem last summer in Michigan. I’m gonna try the amount up to the tinted glass in the back and see if that works better. Seems like people have had a good response.

    I did a thing… awesome.

No reason to be rude. I am not telling you what to do. I honestly read your original post and thought it sounded like something I would do. Then I read the other post about it being potentially illegal. Then I thought about my family and my life insurance. Then I thought about every time...

lol. The tonneau was closed. It was sunny and warm outside. But it was cool in the back. People who worry about enough ventilation for their animals should not. It was breezy back there. It kept the rain out, but not the wind.

    I did a thing… awesome.

You say that, but your very post is acting like my mama. And literally just calling me “reckless and ignorant.” I disagree 100% and think it’s perfectly within Tolerable risk. you take a risk every time you walk out your front door. Every time you step into a car. Every time you get onto a...

    I did a thing… awesome.

As I was reading your response, I immediately began to think about my life insurance policy. I googled it and found this info. Beneficiary's Role: If the beneficiary (in this case, your wife) is found to be criminally negligent in your death and the insurance company can prove it, the policy...

    I did a thing… awesome.

Worked the night shift and was able to get a few hours rack in the back while my wife drove. Woke up refreshed and was able to finish the drive. Before all you Karen’s start chiming in about how dangerous it is, don’t do it if you think it’s too dangerous. I grew up in a time we’re used to sleep...

Share your battery drain if you left your truck still for 2+ weeks recently

I just left mine at the airport for 10 days. I had century mode and cabin heat protection turned off. The percentage actually went up after two days from 82 to 83%. Then went down to 81% by day 10. That was in Detroit in late April and I think the temperature went up.

For those with white interior, any regrets?

I also love the white. It does brighten up the interior. It’s super easy to clean. Baby wipes get out pretty much everything. My wife has a model X with the white interior and it’s very easy as well. We’ve got six kids and two grandkids and my wife keeps it spotless.
