Late Foundation Series Beast purchase (delivered Oct 2nd, a few weeks before Foundation was discontinued). Got the option to choose Powerwall or $2,500 credit almost immediately after delivery and chose the $2,500 credit. I was nervous about it being one-time use, but from reading this thread...
Delivery date selection followed shortly after VIN (same day), and the only delivery date option was 9/30; must be a Qtr-end sales push as @nasg noted.
Received another message in the App with the phone # for the delivery center in case I had any questions. Gave them a call and they said my truck is expected to arrive on or before 9/30 and delivery is usually within 24-48 hours. Great to see things moving quickly. And they also confirmed I...
One more update. New VIN just got assigned and I got the request to provide insurance info which I did. Boy, am I glad I pushed back on the Core wheels...
Now awaiting a delivery date. I see that the option to make final payment is now activated in the App, and the options are wire or Plaid...
100% Agreed. Looks great, thanks for sharing. It's not just the wheel covers that I love but also the "outside" tread on the All-Terrains. And functionally, the greater ability / ease of mind if going offroad.
Quick update here. Customer Service (via text) finally confirmed they were switching the wheels/tires back to Cyber/AT (my original preference).
And the app now does show Cyber Wheels again, and the VIN is gone. Back to waiting....
I do appreciate you flagging the concerns with this wheel type (was helpful to get all facts/perspectives as I made my decision), but I've decided those are still the ones I want. If the covers continue to have issues, I'm okay with just the wheel and AT tire. While not a serious offroader, I...
I did give it some thought but,
- The CT will be my third vehicle and I already have a set of snow tires on dedicated wheels for one of our vehicles that's taking up precious space in the garage
- The snow tires would fix this problem for ~5 months of the year (i.e., I wouldn't want to be...
Thanks, and agreed - the Cyber Wheels do look cooler to me as well. I decided to pass on the Core Wheels; hoping Cyber Wheels are still an option even if not immediately available.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts/experience. I do live in snow country and likely won't be doing any offroading either, but finding the look of the Cyber Wheels / AT tires too appealing to pass.
What made you choose Core Wheels / AS tires (vs Cyber Wheels / AT Tires)? Are you happy with the form factor / appearance of the Core wheels?
I have a CB on order (VIN assigned) and my original choice was Cyber Wheels / AT Tires but Tesla switched my order to Core Wheels / AS Tires for...
Latest response below, when I asked if they could go double-check if the CyberWheels will make a comeback at some point as I don't mind waiting.
"Thank you for your understanding, John. Let me confirming with my team about the options for the Cybertruck Wheels and report back to you."
When I asked Tesla Customer Service (via text) to confirm if they were sure about Core Wheels and AS Tires being the only option, I got the response below.
"At this time, all Cybertruck orders are being delivered with the Core wheels and All-Season tires, unfortunately"
If Core Wheels are...
Just heard back from Tesla (via text), see below.
"Unfortunately, the Cyber Wheels and All-terrain tires have been discontinued. I understand this comes as a disappointment to you. Would you like to keep the order, or cancel?"
Does anyone know if this is truly the case? The website (when...
Many congratulations. Wishing you lots of fun with your toys. Love seeing the Cybertruck sharing a garage with Raptors. Gen 3 37 owner here.
The Cyber Wheels / AT tires look great on your truck, helped convince me that I should stick with those (instead of the Core wheels I'm being offered...
Yes, I'm going to wait. Although no one from Tesla has replied to my text where I responded to their message saying I do NOT want Core Wheels and All-Season tires, and instead want Cyber Wheels and All-Terrain tires. The app also still shows the VIN I received yesterday for a truck with Core...
Thanks for sharing. I'm choosing to stay with the CyberBeast, awaiting a reply from Tesla. Hoping it's not too long of a wait to get the CyberWheels / AT tires.
