I am also a decliner! I just don't see the value in the foundation edition for me. I am already locked into FSD for $7k and would like to have it wrapped in matte black.
I am planning on doing the same thing. From what I have researched, switching from the tri to dual motor shouldn't be a problem once your turn comes up in line based on your reservation.
I ordered the tri-motor on the reveal day. I have been doing a little research and should be able to switch my order to the dual-motor once I am invited to configure my CT. Tesla can't expect buys to stay with the same version of the CT after 4 years, not making the 500+ miles, and a $30k bump...
I didn't get the email either. I am thinking this because I have a low RN right around 7000. I think I have about 4-6 months before delivery. Maybe you're the same.
Remember when Rivian raised the price on the release of the R1T by 20% and a huge number of people canceled their orders? Rivian ended up honoring the original price and asking people who canceled to come back. It could happen, but it is not likely with 2+ million reservations. If you can wait...
I am going to switch from the tri to the dual and hope they don't put cheap rims on the dual. I would buy the upgraded rims if doesn't push me over the $80k federal credit.
I also was super disappointed with the pricing. I was hoping tri-motor would fall just under the $80k federal credit. I am a day-one reservation holder of a tri-motor, right around 7000 in line. I hope to change it to the dual-motor once I am invited to configure my CT. I am afraid the...
My First Post! :) I am about 7000-9000 in line for the Cybertruck. I ordered the tri-motor at $70k hoping it wouldn't go over $80k, want the tax credit. Now that the prices for the CT have been released $100k is outside my budget. I wonder if I'll have the ability to downgrade to the dual-motor...
