It’ll do the trick if you need a solution before December. If you don’t need one before December, when the Campstream should ship, probably best to wait for it. But based on tonight’s test, it should work. Guess we’ll see how it performs on the trip.
Wouldn't just yet. It is actually cooling now. It does say it's operating temp isn't meant for that high heat. We wouldn't turn this on until the evening when the temp drops anyways, to pre-cool the tent before hitting the sack. It's running now and getting cooler, actually pushing out cold air...
So far I can tell you it cannot cool the tent at 95 degrees outside. I didn’t expect it to, but tried anyway. Should dip below 80 after 9pm, I’ll try it then.
So what I'm thinking now is, doing Grand Canyon on the way to Oregon and Yellowstone on the way back to Tennessee.
Something like this, Home -> Grand Canyon -> Portland(stay awhile) -> Garibaldi(Oregon coast) -> Portland(stay awhile)-> Yellowstone -> Home.
There will obviously be other stops...
What site do you recommend? I was a little worried I’d have to cut yellowstone due to lack of charging in the area.
The cooler will run for 35 hours on its internal battery.
This isn't a multi month trip. It is a bit longer than I'd normally take. Planning on 5 days driving each way. We’ll see if my “plan” ends up being accurate. We go to Oregon every year for our family reunion camping trip. Don’t really wanna fly because of all the Boeing stuff. I remember my dad...
The extra battery looked pretty spendy, figured it wasn't worth it since we can plug into the truck. I'll be sure to update on the AC unit. I'll probably do a test run Friday night in the driveway.
Sure, why not. I'll do my best to update as often as I can.
That looks a little out of our way, probably wont be going that far south. Looks cool tho, and near Thor's Well!
Oh! One more thing, highly recommend buying one of these for the Cybertent. I got it on a lightning deal a few weeks back.

No more manual pump!
We did a test run at a campsite nearby-ish. I can get the tent up and down in about 5 min. It's super simple once you know how to do it. Highly recommend setting the Cybertent up and down several times at home before you go on any trip.
Family of 4, so it's gonna be pretty packed. Everything...
