From my view the offset, similar to the top speed zone wheel, creates a max target zone. So if traffic and conditions allow, it will eventually reach that zone. Traffic and conditions are a relative term, as it is a bit opaque as to what the FSD brain perceives. As an example, I drive the...
Same issue on starting FSD while driving. Holding the pedal for a few seconds seems to lessen the slowdown. And on the speed overwrite, on my daily trips I have a 55 mph zone where the nav thinks it is a 45 zone, so it used to slow down blocking traffic, so I overwrite to 60 to keep pace, but...
I was one of the early liberated boomerang victims (drivers side), my shop charged me $100 to rewrap the new cantrail, which I thought was fair. Problem being, I have to do this all over again, as the new cantrail was a few weeks before the recall, meaning they installed the same old rail. So...
This looks like a glue loose, not a screw loose. The metal boomerang is glued to the plastic carrier that bolts to the chassis. Tape it down, take it off, make an appointment at Tesla, this is most likely going to liberate while driving, mine did.
Regarding the bolt, there is no bolt on the metal portion, it is just a clean sheet with glue marks. There may be a bolt holding the plastic undercarriage in place, but that is still attached to the truck. The tech at Tesla today noticed that the glue marks on the metal strip are rather faint...
The wrap was done last June, so too long ago to cause an issue now. The last one that was active in that area was Tesla Service when they did the wiper motor mod, and installed the new assembly that ended up with its base not being completely flush with the windshield. Maybe it put some undue...
Like some of you, I received an enthusiastic Heil Hitler salute while in slow opposing traffic. Good for the elderly gentlemen who felt compelled to share his love for the Führer.
But in the afternoon while entering the grocery store a little lady coming of age made up for it as she thought...
I noticed a few days ago that the boomerang upper window trim on the drivers side seemed to stick out a hair at the front lip. I checked it and pressed it back in. Knowing that I had a service appointment today at Tesla, I added it to my list of topics.
The advisor called their CT specialist...
Same issue on passenger side window, the seal shrinks enough when cold to let air through when well below 32 on the Interstate. May CT, 9,500 miles, Michigan. Will make an appointment.
The late reaction (braking) towards standing traffic or slowing traffic is worse than before, and it was already bad in the previous version.
The behavior in traffic circles is worse and the wheel now jerks to correct, before it was smooth.
It touched a black bikelane pillar this morning...
I simply used a fine metal file, and taped off the adjacent areas. A file can be controlled better in my opinion when compared to sandpaper or sanding blocks.
My 1st and 2nd drives were rather stellar. It clips to close in left turns, and completely cuts across unused oncoming turn lanes when turning left, it seems to hug the right curb when there is no line, and when passing on the interstate it seems to hug the left line. Had to intervene during a...
I kept my Ford Raptor, spacious and awesome truck, still very fun to drive, perfect long range vehicle. And for Armageddon I have my turbo diesel Hummer H1, classy, massive and indestructible.
A software update many weeks ago lowered the lock sound to the barely noticeable level. It has not yet been corrected. There was talk about a user selectable volume upgrade, which would be simple to do and would solve this issue.. The light show volume has no bearing on the locking sound.
1) Keep rear mirror displayed while adding side view when turning.
2) Volume control for exterior speakers.
3) Ability to ride on ‘High’ while in the city to improve visibility
How do they install?
1) Do they clip to the circumference
of the rim and can therefore be aligned with the tire design?
2) Do they clip into the center heptagon or spokes and therefore the tires need to be rotated to match up with the design?
