That is very cool. I had heard VW was ramping up, not surprised the Chinese are as well. I'm still bummed Tesla is in China - you just know they are stealing Tesla tech faster than a fat kid chasing an ice cream truck.
In any case, the good news is Tesla has at least a 10x lead on anybody...
That's a good insight, but I think the so called electrification of the auto industry is still in the very early days. Only Tesla makes EVs at a scale of any significance. I keep telling people we aren't in an EV revolution, rather, we are in a Tesla revolution.
short and curvy are generally signs of neoteny (i.e. childlike cuteness). These are not characteristics I would have expected on the CT. I understand that from an engineering/efficiency perspective the shape is favorable. But I don't like it, and I think a less masculine design will reflect...
Tie down straps, tow rope, chains, misc tools for work, etc., you like to have those rolling around your cab all the time? transporting stuff is literally the reason trucks exist. having options for storage is not necessary?
Tesla likes minimalism, but a useful truck needs plenty of storage holes... Fingers crossed it isn't overly minimalist. I was initially very excited about the side sail storage.
Reminds me of my own mother. When I was a kid she completely bricked multiple computers just by turning them on. ESD so strong it jumped through the plastic on/off button, fried the motherboard, CPU, and anything plugged into a PCI slot!
It would take an ungodly amount of geothermal and nuclear to raise the temperatures directly, but I get where you are headed with this. at some point energy use will be huge and we'll need to figure out clever ways of getting rid of all the excess heat from trillions of machines generating...
RAM is often the most innovative of the bunch (Tesla excluded). I'm excited to see the offerings, but as with other OEM's, I doubt they'll be able to execute on volume production.
Tesla likes to keep ordering simple for a number of reasons. I predict only 3 configurations for dual and quad motor. My hope is two options for dual motor (300 mile and 500 mile), and quad being the plaid with 500 mile.
Price escalation is guaranteed. Expect a $10k bump in price across the...
