The Silverado I drive at work has a camper shell. I never look at the rearview mirror. EVER. You can't even see traffic behind you so you'll get very adept at using your side-view mirrors, and can back accurately into narrow parking spots with high precision. Even pickup trucks without a shell...
Because I would rather have the weight that I don't need when not towing be easily left with the travel trailer and not have to lug it around on day trips away from my campsite.
Range extender would be nice for travel days. But the idea of it taking up space and efficiency when I'm not towing...
I would be delighted if the "Range Extender" is a battery pack that I could carry and connect from the underbelly of my travel trailer. ?

That's my point. All states require any light above 54" (some as low as 42") to remain off on public highways. Four states (CA, PA, VA, & WV) mandate that light lenses above 54" be COVERED by an opaque covering.
All states don't want people driving around with high mounted lights blinding...
You won't be able to hear it over the tire noise. I mean, why would you get offroad lighting* if you don't have offroad tires?
