  1. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

If it's in the shop that's considered towards the 30 days. Until they say it's fixed it's going to stay in the shop. You might want it to be different for some weird Tesla fan boy reason but that doesn't change the law. I'm completely fine letting the arbitrator decide that and if they say...
  2. Waymo will beat Tesla FSD because of LIDAR

What software contributions do you see Tesla put out open source? I see none useful being in that space. By far Meta is #1 contributor with LLM and Vision. Next Microsoft eg Florence2 is pretty great. Apple uses other stuff but nothing groundbreaking I've seen besides refactor other code...
  3. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

It worked fine on another cybertruck at the service center so def affects a few but I can't be the only one. Most people don't use 240v tools so doubt they notice it but should check it as I do believe it affects the other systems: I've seen weird things where car won't charge at certain charge...
  4. NON-Foundation Series Cybertruck Now Available to Order (Price: $79,900) !!

Yeah I don't know too much about it honestly as I make too much money to qualify which I suppose is a good thing for me. Does seem weird tax scam however. I mean why not reduce of car and force the option like the foundation series eg you can't buy the car without options but it's still under...
  5. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Also I put heavy load on the 110v outlets and it was also ok eg 110V at 10amps = 1100W x 2 outlets total 2400w no problem. Just instant reset of 220v > 75% charge @ even 1A = 200W.
  6. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

No it's a weird bug: 110v outlet works fine most of the time though I did have a weird HV battery error a few times but can't reproduce it so just let it slide 240v outlet works fine if car charge is below 71%. Eg when Tesla said they fixed it the first time I tested it immediately and it was...
  7. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Well hopefully they just fix it within the 30 days and then there's no problem. Maybe wash the truck as a minor thank you like every other car I've had in for service or give me a few supercharger miles for waiting >21 days for a fix even if under 30? Doesn't take much to keep your customers...
  8. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

I picked it up in Washington and signed the paperwork in Washington as they had no Idaho stores. Washington FAQ says that constitutes sold in Washington.
  9. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

My story: Fix my brand NEW car. It's brand new - shouldn't have issues. Tesla: We're too busy. That's why they got the 30 days written into the law. Reasonable Solution 1: Fix the car within 30 days. Better yet fix the car within 7 days which is pretty reasonable for any car to be out of...
  10. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Once it hits 30 days even if they fix it then it's still considered a lemon. If they're worried about the 30 days they should overnight the part and fly the engineer over to fix it. Most people would be more pissed that you paid $110k for a NEW car that's sitting in the shop for 30 days...
  11. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Every state is different. In washington it says: " • If you purchased the vehicle: your refund will include the cash price of the vehicle in the sales agreement (minus any manufacturer rebate), ‘collateral charges’ and ‘incidental costs.’ If you have a loan balance, the lender will be paid from...
  12. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

I researched this carefully and it's actually going to be like $1 a mile because it's miles driven/120,000 * purchase price So 0.30 would be a deal They need to pay taxes and registration which is 6% so breakeven at 0.30 would depend if I put on 10k miles on it up to 105% of the cost according...
  13. Waymo will beat Tesla FSD because of LIDAR

Tesla spent $2m in lidar. Stock drops $10b in a day... $2m is nothing. Prob equivalent to 1 prototype cybertruck wheel or one AI engineer's salary... Interesting article saying lidar is $1000 so cheaper than I thought. Radar prob even cheaper $10. I mean I spent $110k on a truck, $1000...
  14. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Yeah they ordered parts which will already push it to 23 days. I'm willing to bet they don't fix it with that part because they replaced the entire power unit the last time and didn't fix it. Again making your customer wait on a brand new car for 30 freaking days is bad enough - normal...
  15. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Dunno what your point is? I already quoted Washington Law. So I looked at both Washington and Idaho laws and Washington is 30 calendar days but Idaho is 30 business days in the shop to qualify so I'll just go with Washington which saves me 6 weekend days for a claim. There's 3 points here: 1)...
  16. Cybertruck defect on outlets - Tesla can't fix, going to buyback

Washington State defines a lemon as : " Substantial defects are those which are life threatening, create a risk of fire or explosion or which substantially impair the vehicle’s reliability, resale value or safe use." Lemon_Law_BrochureFORTRANSLATION6-2013_1.pdf...
  17. NON-Foundation Series Cybertruck Now Available to Order (Price: $79,900) !!

Just be sure you add no options eg no fsd, no color no wheels to stay at $79,990 otherwise it's over $80k and no credit. Any option you add
  18. NON-Foundation Series Cybertruck Now Available to Order (Price: $79,900) !!

I also think Cybertruck never qualifies unless it's the base model: $80,000 for vans, sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks $55,000 for other vehicles Eg no cyberbeast for you. Maybe that's why they price it $79,999 plus options but pretty sure options are included in the MSRP but prob...
  19. NON-Foundation Series Cybertruck Now Available to Order (Price: $79,900) !!

Just this: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/credits-for-new-clean-vehicles-purchased-in-2023-or-after Again if you make <$150k a year you prob shouldn't be buying a $100k car...
  20. Waymo will beat Tesla FSD because of LIDAR

Cameras are enough for driving as driving isn't super precision to mm. Monocular depth is already pretty good and they've made giant strides in last few months I've noticed in my own work. Eg Apple vision pro can get decent depth from single zero shot image to create 3d stereo image prob using...
