I've heard that, but Tesla has never produced the lowest cost model first, so that would be quite a change.
I'm hoping the DUAL AWD w/FSD will be first. Since that is what I've ordered. :D
If my minivan could tow 8,000 lbs, I'd stick with it. But since I need a truck, Cybrtrk it is.
I'm definitely no longer part of any 'younger generation'. :) I know marketing people think they have to determine demographics and target audiences. I think marketing is B.S.
I'm using (member here) CYBRZIG's number, you are just under 300,000 based on that.
Unless only the last three digits matter, then you are first in line! Congrats! :D
Lots of people mention needing to park in garage to charge, but that is not so. There are two cord lengths on the Tesla wall connector, one is 24 feet. You can park outside and just run the cord to the vehicle. Or you can mount the connector (EVSE) outdoors. Totally safe to do.
When people...
This will be a strong truck.. No need to cut holes, just pull in to the garage until the garage door can close. Then dust the drywall off the hood.
it's okay, until we know, all we can do is speculate. But I think the Cybertruck will be rated over 400 wh per mile, vs the 241 rating of the model 3.
For same range it will need a much larger battery pack.
Um, battery size has nothing to do MPGe. You are talking about watt hours per mile. The Model 3 is efficient. Cybertruck will be too, but will weigh significantly more. If the 3 can get 15 miles from a days charging, I expect the truck to get 10.
I don't think Elon was trying to promise us...
I placed a public comment (in favor, of course). These aren't votes, just comments NHTSA can consider, or ignore.

But they don't show who it was... I prefer our method... you are here with the lowest number. So I'll base my position in line off your number. By the way, where did you find that much water in Gilbert? :p
No Tesla here, but...
1) watched lots of smart summon videos (this is a feature I want badly). It is still in the baby steps mode but maturing rapidly.
2) only one insurance company was willing to respond (to a reporter asking this question) and they said it will be on a case-by-case basis.
3)...
How do they do it for armored car drivers, now?
This may be one thing Elon has to reconsider, I think more due to government interference than it being a real problem. If a legislator asks that question, we'll see more rules. Yuck.
Mostly I think first responders will need to start carrying...
Seems whatever is in the wheel needs to match the truck, so stainless look instead of chrome to start.
Lots want to make truck matte black ala F117, so lots of black is okay.
Only other colors would be if you want to match your paint / wrap, and if wrapping they might be able to do it for you...
For myself, I have a 200 amp service. But with 60 amps just for A/C I'm pretty well maxed out. I've only had level 2 at home before (max 32 amps, so it shared the 40 amp welder circuit).
I want to budget for upgrades to the electrical. What do current Tesla owners have for their service...
My thinking is based on things Elon has said, primarily that if Tesla fails as a business, it is okay because it has succeeded in creating the shift to EVs. He has never been in it to make it the biggest auto company, but to be the biggest innovator.
And if the owner doesn't want it 100% I...
