Just finished up a total of 1800 miles on the hankook ion ht and in general they are far more efficient than my LTX platinums on my CB. 1100 miles on the freeway and about 700 not. The best comparison I have for freeway was short due to most of that 1100 miles, the speed limit was 80 and the...
I just found another hidden feature of FSD? I just drove through the badlands national park and had FSD on in sloth mode with no destination and everytime a scenic view, whether formally established or not, the vehicle slowed down significantly giving my wife and I time to look around and for...
Oddly enough, I actually thought it was an anti sleep thing it was trying to like shake me awake because I had my sunglasses on the whole time so I thought it might be trying to make sure I wasn't asleep XD but no, it did not play MJ haha
I just got the new FSD 14.3.3 and am currently halfway through a road trip, but several times, FSD started rocking the car. I could see it making minor movements on the steering wheel left and right causing a persistent rock motion. I dont think its the wind or the new tires i just put on...
Just finished my first leg of my 1500 mile road trip and the hankook tires appear to make a difference under 70 mph compared the michelin tires. At 67-70mph I was typically getting high 300s to low 400s wh/mi where the michelins would typically have me at high 400s. 77-83 (80 mph speed limit...
My igen didn't rev that much to be honest. It started at 20 amps, that's what I usually have my nema 14-50 mobile connector set at and the second it started charging I switched it to 32 and it ran for about a min before I turned it off, well it turned itself off due to high co concentration...
I just checked, my westinghouse igen 12000tfc charged my tesla at a full 32 amps for a minute before I turned it off. So it is likely just an inverter limitation on that predator series.
As mongo said, 16 amps at 240v is more than 20 amps at 120v, it's almost double. Based on everything you have said, it looks like that is the limit of your generator/charger combo.
You can try what dpoll said, but it is unlikely to yield different results since your tesla is disconnect at a...
Is the generator a standard generator or an inverter generator? Also, are you at a high altitude while charging (usually >5000ft asl)? Most generators are carburated still and will have warnings saying use above 5000ft will require high altitude kits (different jetting) to prevent from damaging...
Just got the hankooks put on and I live in NE so it's pretty flat and low wind today. Took almost the exact same route there as I did coming back in FSD standard both ways. On the way there tessie said I used 371wh/mi with average speed of 33 mph while having a net -33 ft of elevation change...
I'll post on here my results with the hankooks after my trip at the end of the month. Check back the first week of June and I will post my results, maybe with photos? Idk everytime I try and post photos it just stops at starting the upload so I can't promise tessie pictures.
Like I said, I had tesla inspect the vehicle because last time I saw number like that was when I was towing about 4k lbs through the Sierra Nevadas and the temp was -10 to -20 F. I was actually getting better efficiency in that case. Tesla found nothing. As such, I have yet to get under 400wh/mi...
Yea, I just ordered the hankooks. Discount tire said they only had 4 left in inventory in the US so we will see. I have about a 1500 mile trip planned for next month so I will see what it yields for me there. I was OK with the CB having like 10% less range, but the LTXs are crushing my battery...
My first long distance drive with the LTX actually caused me to submit a service request because the efficiency was so poor. I still have yet to figure out how to post photos on here but my tessie said avg speed was 68 on the freeway, 100% FSD, top speed was 78, average temp was 24F clear skies...
My FSD is 90% of the time in chill or sloth. Only inefficient thing I do is i dont use the aero covers. The "improved" ones i got still rubbed the sidewalls too much for my comfort.
Man, those numbers are awesome. I use FSD a lot too (FSCB says 84% since they implemented that stat which has been consistent for my driving habits except when i moved across country while towing) but my lifetime is sitting at 440 and my current trip is at 487 for the last 2500 miles x.x...
I have the LTXs currently, and they did well in the wet and snow, but their efficiency is crap. Since I have installed them, my efficiency has been sitting around 490wh/mi average where i was sitting about 440 on the Goodyear than ran out after about 23,000 miles. The current LTXs have about 5k...
Any updates on this? I am considering going with these tires for summer (275 being narrower than the standard 285 would result in slightly lower traction which shouldn't matter in summer). I am more concerned about like the tire falling off/breaking the bead since it isnt as wide as the stock 285s.
