    Comparing thick blankets wrapped around the sub versus a very thin plastic, I think that is a stretch. What I'm saying is response range of bass frequencies are so low that this small bin makes no major difference in this environment and application. Unless you are a professional audio...

    The frequency response of the sub is not a concern, I have the OEM bin and it is fine. Subwoofer's pass through objects.
