YEP! Every time he makes a turn, or there is a bend in the road, you're hearing the creak we're all experiencing.
Supposedly someone in this thread is uploading a video of how they solved it by removing a panel on the back side of the driver's seat, applying silicone spray behind the panel...
I was able to stop these unnecessary, and very costly in terms of safety score dings, FCW warnings by adjusting the sensitivity. I can’t remember what the default setting was, but I just bumped it one notch on the sensitivity scale. I want to say it was defaulted to Early, and I adjusted to...
I've noticed both issues on my driver's seat as well.
Pad shifts when turning left or right, and I get a creaking sound when turning left.
The driver's seat looked like the photo below when I took delivery. It has to pulled with a great deal of force in order to re-attach it to a metal rail on...
Honestly haven’t noticed it happening much while sitting at a stop, but I am noticing it occurring just after I start to accelerate away from a stop. It’s much less surprising when it happens while you’re in motion vs when it happens sitting at a stoplight or in a drive-thru.
Please update...
Thanks for replying, very cool to see! I was told by a local shop that the Carlas (www.carlaswrap.com and www.carlasppf.com) factory in China makes your films, and that you guys are just importing, renaming, and marketing their films as your own (which are also sold under multiple other brand...
This looks great! Hard to tell from photos - Does it have quite a bit of reflective sparkle flake in it, and if you get really close to it in the sunlight do you see some iridescent purple reflective flake at certain angles? Reason I ask is because I'm looking at a similar film from a different...
Nothing to get excited about here. I've been watching my Cybertruck's bandwidth consumption like hawk for the last 24 hours, anxiously awaiting a large file download beginning.
Then I watched Chuck Cook's demo video, was supremely let down, and realized I could go back to my weekend. Even...
25-year Vegas resident here. Just left my CT with Valet at The Wynn last weekend. No issues whatsoever. They knew exactly how to handle the CT.
Of course, as all Tesla owners should, I always use Valet mode. If you don’t you’re passing on opportunity to manage risk, and just being negligent...
While no one wants to deal with the PIA associated with a cracked roof/windshield, I think the concern of folks has been less about whether or not the glass will crack, but more so about whether Tesla will replace the cracked glass under warranty if it has been tinted.
FYI for anyone concerned about Tesla not covering a cracked glass roof because it was tinted, Tesla has now officially partnered with Xpel and is directly selling Xpel tint packages for their entire vehicle lineup on this webpage (not sure if this is limited to certain US markets or is a...
Seems we might have a good 'ole case of correlation vs causation.
If there are equal #'s of CT's without tint experiencing spontaneous roof and windshield cracking vs those with tint, I think correlation wins.
I've spoken with 3 different tint/PPF shops in Las Vegas, and from what I can gather...
This is cool! I've never seen or used one of these on a car. For sedans and SUV's it's probably terrific. The only issues I can see with it on the CT are the lack of reach, and the fact that I don't think it would dry the tonneau cover because it's not a flat surface . The CT is massive, and...
Based on my experience that looks like water mineral deposits and/or the result of the surface of the truck being too hot when mineral-rich water was applied.
FWIW, My process for washing and caring for the CT after some trial and error (and plenty of unwanted/unsightly spots):
Confirm...
Doing top-up charging every night to 60-80%, even after your day's worth of driving might only get you down to 45-60% SOC seems ok I suppose if the objective is to constantly maintain a SOC reserve that you never really dip in to.
Consider this, though....Does anyone charge up to 60-80%, and...
