  1. Homelink on Cybertruck - anyone install?

He said he had acreace and it was way to far away for wifi. Dedicated hotspot or Starlink can be cost prohibitive.
  2. Can't charge other Tesla from Cybertruck power outlet

Have you tried lowering the charge rate on the vehicle you're trying to charge? It might not handle the full 32amps of the mobile charger. Set it to something low and work up.
  3. Homelink on Cybertruck - anyone install?

The trucks cell service doesn't help if the garage door doesn't have internet access.
  4. Cybertruck “Slow boiling Frog” moment

I think price is the big one for many people. I put in my reservation before the presentation was over. I couldn't really afford the 50K AWD but figured I could by the time it came out. Most people can't handle the price hike. Many that can probably shouldn't. Its much easier to buy in on...
  5. Tesla Semi crashes off-side I-80, battery fire, toxic fumes, 6+ hour closure section I-80.

As someone that was a volunteer firefighter for a few years and (more relevant to this subject) a avid RC quad and airplane pilot. Lipo fires burn much faster and hotter than lion cells. Several RC pilots a year lose their houses due to unattended lipo charging. When a lipo combusts the rule...
  6. First big disappointment

I've had success moving the wheel lower and using both knees when I need a snack. Might need to setup a "snacking" profile for easy swapping.
  7. Something like this Ladder Rack, tailored to the Cybertruck, would be nice

I'm making one. I'm trying to add a plate that covers the roof glass to ensure nothing tips and breaks it. Mine looks like its going to be over built though which i doubt anyone would want. Going to try to cut and weld everything using the CT outlets.
  8. How the CB over the CT makes sense.

The only difference is the motor and badging. Not sure why those two things would make a big difference in the context of the lightning.
  9. Hauling small plywood loads (4x8 sheet)

As mentioned, 8' sheets fit great with the tailgate down. I just left the vault open so I could use the mirror.
  10. Top Speed Unlocked Cyberbeast Runs 10's! Watch acceleration vs. Cybertruck Dual-Motor

I have an XP that I drive in plaid full time. The extra sensitivity only bothers me when I'm in very icy conditions. My wife drives it in chill. We shared the XP as our other vehicle was ICE. Getting the Cybertruck largely meant we each had our own car. Driving the Cybertruck full-time made...
  11. Top Speed Unlocked Cyberbeast Runs 10's! Watch acceleration vs. Cybertruck Dual-Motor

At launch In the AWD, the front is traction limited already and the rear is power limited. The Beast adds the back motor which makes both front and back traction limited at launch. Adding a 4th motor up front only helps down the track. If anything we could expect larger motors all around...
  12. Poor man's DIY Cybertent

Looks great. I'm planning on a similar build. Good to see that it works.
  13. Cybertruck failed elementary arithmetic.

What mobile charger pulls 100 amps? A 60 amp breaker is more than needed.
  14. Tips on Installing Cybertruck Vault Cargo Divider

I didn't realize there were bed liners available. Kind of torn if I want one. I have the vault divider which I like to use. Makes it super easy to stop things from moving around. I throw a clamp on it to stop things from moving laterally or even a strap.
  15. Delivery Disappointment

My Beast was super dirty inside when I picked it up. I didn't ask for a rush or anything like that. The glass was very dirty and also had adhesive on it that I still need to scrape off.
  16. Minnesota cybertruck owners

I'm in the West metro with a CB and XP. I'd be interested in a meetup.
  17. Of all the features that went missing with our CT's

I left the sub-vault open in the sun for a few days. Most of the smell is gone.
  18. Your experience: How many days from VIN to Delivery?

My Beast VIN was assigned on Sunday afternoon and I took delivery yesterday (Tuesday). Honestly, I should have waited a few more days. Getting insurance in time was easy but I was barely able to get the financial side of things done in time. I waited 165 days for a VIN so i'm glad kept the...
