I made sure and no improvement. I have no horn whatsoever, so driving is more risky so will switch back to my Model YP when I get back from my trip. Obviously Tesla did not fully test the horn update for all scenarios. Has anyone recovered from no horn afterwards to anything usable afterwards?
It would appear to be the case. Mine was one year, and yours was for two years. Florida doesn't offer discounts for the two-year option, but your per-year price is lower. I know weight is a factor in the fee schedule.
I did not have that issue here in Palm Beach County, but my Tesla Model YP has an issue with the State that was not caused by Tesla. When I received the YP in 2022, I was able to get the HOV sticker, which was the Orange one at that time. When I tried to renew the registration (was one year), it...
I'm in South Florida, and these were taken a few minutes ago in moderately cloudy skies. This is 1% setting, flood and ditch, but you won't see the ditch lights when straight-on like this. I wouldn't drive with them on during the day regardless since LEO will have a good excuse to stop and or...
I've been opening my doors (and the rest of my family) from the protected top edge like most people intuitively do, but to close the doors, we grab the opposite side of the protected edge and pull towards the truck, grabbing only the black protected top edge. You obviously let go when you have...
Ditto. Especially the part about people walking up to my CT CB, cupping their hands to peer into the windows to try to see what they can. My additional tinting is dark (I also tinted the glass roof and have the screen from Tesla), so it is difficult for them to really see anything. They ALWAYS...
I had mine installed by Tesla about 10 days ago and love it. I'm on construction sites before dawn and after dusk and its awesome. I have not seen another CT with one yet in Palm Beach County.
My guess is $1,600 for the LB to be installed and supplied by Tesla eventually.
Mine was installed just two hours ago by Tesla Service and is totally functional without any effort on my part. YMMV, depending on which state you live in.
I'll take some and post them here. One thing is for sure: even though 1% is very low when viewing off-center, it is still too bright to drive with it on (on public roads) at 1% because when you look directly at the LEDs in the center, they are blinding. It's incredibly bright at 100%, and I can...
No Noise. I drove on the Interstate at 75 mph and could not detect any noise from the Lightbar. In my opinion, there are no downsides with the Light Bar installed that I know of at this time.
I got my truck back from Tesla about an hour ago, and my lightbar is installed. Much to my surprise, the lightbar is fully connected and functional. This could be a Florida thing.
Q&A:
Q: Is the lightbar visible from inside the truck?
A: Absolutely, not visible.
Q: Did you have to do anything...
I get my CT CB back tomorrow from Tesla Service with the Lightbar installed. They kept it for a week and gave me a Model Y LR as a loaner in the meantime.
I was going to say this, too.
I have a Model 2022 YP, which does the same thing when I pull into driveways (which are somewhat parabolic here in Florida) on an angle. My guess is that torsional stress on the frame makes its way into just about every part of the car. My CT does not do this at...
