Hmmm, doesn’t the (unloaded) Semi do 0-60 in like 5 seconds? So a full sized RV would go 0-60 in like ... 6 to 7 seconds?
That would be mind blowing to have it be able to outdrag many (if not most) ICE cars.
tl;dr:
My biggest concern over the use of my CT for robotaxi is what if someone wants to robotaxi it to a full-on construction site where it will be used to haul rocks, run the on-board compressor and 220v/110v outlets all day to power their tools and stuff?
Naw, sorry, I think mine will...
If they have the stats to factor in what percent of tires actually need true replacement due to non-wear issues such as blowouts, flats on the sidewall, etc., then they could likely figure out a price point to make these new tires profitable while still not gouging us consumers Too much...
As I recall, they did it for Model 3 roll out, Tesla owners were prioritized. My sister and hubby already had a Model S 90D, and they jumped up in line...
I think if Tesla’s lawsuit against Rivian gains any traction, it might push back Rivian deliveries, especially if it’s proven their new hires from Tesla brought over proprietary tech info from Tesla...
Perhaps Tesla could follow the same formula of other priority lists for, say, initial season ticket sales for brand-new sports arenas where it’s a hundred bucks or so to get on a Priority Contact List. Then they contact everyone on the list (in chronological order of their original reservation)...
I am paying less and less attention to all the sensationalized headlines purporting that:
“Brand xxx is coming out with...”, or
“...going to offer...”, or
“...will be making...”
It’s all vaporware to me until they make (and offer for actual sale) something I can buy today - like Tesla does.
Magnets would not stick to two SS fridges we had in the past, but on a third one the magnets did indeed stick. So what is the meaning of all this? I have no idea ... and Don't Panic.
Speaking of unison, I wonder if there would eventually be "CT villages" at some point, where a small group of adjacent homes all with CTs cooperatively hook up to their little "grid" to provide power to the houses at night. I would buy a house there.
Although not for me, maybe this could be a look some owners might go for, and probably cheap enough if you don't like it, to peel off and try something else.
Might have to be more squared off though, but I don't have any of those editing skills.
For me the main thing is I just push a button. Not gonna get out and pull on stuff or unfold anything, I already did all that with locking hubs and such back in the day, but now too old for that. I need pushbuttons like George Jetson.
