I don't think Tesla is delivering to TX and CA bcos it's cheaper to deliver. With CT's being made in Austin, delivering them to CA with many other states in closer proximity defies the logic.

Got email yesterday. Mine is 3rd day reservation. Tesla has enough margins to play around with pricing, when the demand subsides. Tesla could have easily incorporated a 150KWH battery and had a range of around 400 miles.
