    Cybertruck interior video

It's really no more of a waste of space than the gigantic center consoles being installed in today's full sized trucks. If they made it modular / removable then it's the best of both worlds of course. I can think of a lot of arguments in favor of the front middle seat. A few of those reasons...

    Cybertruck interior video

It's minimalist, but not necessarily utilitarian. Straight surfaces, easy to measure angles mean easy to design, 3dprint, hand construct, and/or install 3rd party made mods. I think we'll see a lot of aftermarket and DIY customization of this dash if it ends up going to production. Extra storage...

Ram 1500 REV REVEALED! 📸 Deposit placers — Join others here! 🙋🏻‍♂️

Don't even need to watch that ad, the title itself tells me how far they are from understanding where the market will be in just a few years. Ram just lost the last of the tiny bit of credibility they had in my book.

Ram 1500 REV REVEALED! 📸 Deposit placers — Join others here! 🙋🏻‍♂️

Please tell me that was sarcasm. Knowing market conditions and offerings from competitors is germane to CT purchase decisions.

    Cybertruck interior video

Thanks for the share. Really hope the third middle seat in the front row makes it to the final offering, even if it's an option.

Nope, not doing another reservation with a brand with dealers.

    Yoke vs. steering wheel

I've flown a lot of things with yokes, and driven a few too. There is the pretty typical Boeing, Cessna, Bombardier, etc style. Then there is Embraer's handlebars from a 5 year old's big wheel style. You know what they have in common? They don't rotate much more than about 60-70 degrees from...

    No Frunk for the Semi.

Nope. And it isn't CharIn's Megawatt Charging System either. Looks like an older revision of it though. Wonder if the plan is to keep yet another proprietary connector or switch to MWCS once that's finalized? We really don't need yet another set of dueling standards..................

    Cybertruck Ancillary Power ?

No OEM installed / approved way to get power back out is a huge negative in Tesla's current offerings. They even go so far as to say use as a stationary power source voids the warranty (partially at most thanks to Magnuson Moss Act, but still). Someone in the family still ordered a MYLR despite...

Official Reveal: 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution EV Pickup Truck Concept ⚡️🐏

This ! The only thing 'revolutionary' about this platform will be the EREV offering, which should have been in every OEM's lineup a decade ago. Why the entire industry failed to do this in the pickup truck segment still baffles me. The rest read as barely more than a gimmick to me. I wish...

    New EV charging system.

I read the brochure. From what I could pick out from between the marketing speak, this seems to be the same or very similar to the Wunderbox in Lucid Motors vehicles.

    Profit protection against resellers/scalpers.

OPs poll options are clearly biased toward a "Yes", and missing appropriate "No" reasons. I vote No, because the free market working efficiently is more important than Tesla restricting their customers. If I decide I don't like the CT after delivery, it's MY choice what to do with my property...

Voting For New Tesla Supercharger Locations is Now Open

First line of the last paragraph of the OP is incorrect. You don't have to be a Tesla owner to vote. You do have to have a Tesla account, though.

    FRUNK on the Cybertruck?

My initial reaction to the drawer-as-frunk idea was, "Awesome", but less than 30 seconds later practicality pissed on that wet dream. Not being able to open it when properly parked up against a signpost, or bollard, or wall is strike one. How things naturally and magically end up exceeding the...

North American Charging Standard - Tesla opening the door!

This should have been done a decade ago. Tesla's connector is obviously superior to CCS in a ton of ways. But Tesla missed the timing on this for truly opening the standards (not just paying lip service to "working with other makers") until CCS has gotten way too much of a toe hold in the mind...

Ram 1500 REV - EV Pickup Mule Spied Testing For First Time 📸

Insideevs has an infographic saying only 150kW DC charging, and now I see that same number echoed on TFLTruck. I really hope that charging speed is a typo, or an under promise over deliver kind of thing. I will not be signing up to fill a 159 or 200 kWh battery at 150kW peak.

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

I've heard that idea discussed before. But I don't think I've run across any good science studying how bad wear imbalance from imbalanced capacity across cells in series really is. I'll do my own literature search, but if you know of any good primary or secondary articles on the subject, feel...

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

Agreed that repair to the cell level is probably too granular. Being able to replace a module that's 1/10th to 1/20th of the total pack seems about right to me. I would much rather remove and replace the weak module than the whole pack. Yes, the newest cells will be hindered by the old ones in...

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

I care about right to repair, and it is very much a factor in my next purchase decision. Tesla's history and future trajectory in this regard is in the top three reasons why I might NOT end up buying the CT, nor Model Y. Context: I run Linux on a Framework laptop, which has been about the best...
