This is not meant to be a sarcastic or rude comment to those who feel differently, but it is always legitimately weird to me that some people base their value of Tesla on how many cars they make. I haven't thought of Tesla as a car company for quite a while now.
I've owned and daily driven the CyberTruck since April 2024 and I completely disagree with this statement. I love the turn signals being exactly where they are. I never have to move my hand to signal, I just reach over with my thumb, it's awesome. I would be very annoyed if they went back to...
The Ford Lightning is about as normal and boring of a look as you can get and their sales are also not great. So maybe the real lesson is less about looks and more about actual demand for electric trucks in general.
For me this is not a "what would you do" but more of a "what DID you do". A couple weeks ago I traded my 4k VIN FS for a 73,000 AWD. I had 26k+ miles and accepted a trade in of $64,000. They originally offered me $70k trade in but when they realized I was transferring FSD they lowered it to...
That's weird, I cross a railroad every day to and from work and my only (minor) complaint is that it slows down more than it needs to. I will occasionally take over to speed up through the crossing. It will even stop while a train is crossing and then start back up on it's own when it has passed.
FSD does not have the ability to adjust the following distance. That's an Autopilot only feature (and CyberTruck doesn't have Autopilot even if you don't have FSD).
I suspect you won't be able to get good consistent energy consumption data on anything over 85mph because FSD won't work over 85. I can't be expected to actually do the driving myself, what are we, animals?! 😁
I installed the aero covers on my Cyber wheels once I received them (didn't come originally with my FS model) and kept them on full time until one got ripped off in a car wash. In the process one of the clips that hold the aero cover on broke so I decided to just take them all off and noticed...
I made a similar swap from a 4,000 VIN Foundation Series to a 73,000 VIN AWD and I confirm all the same improvements you mentioned. I hadn't realized the vibrating, shaking driver's side door and mirror and accompanying weird drum sound when you closed the door weren't just the way all...
I can provide anecdotal evidence of the CyberTruck's strength.
Shortly after I got my CT back in May of 2024 I was in an accident (I believe the driver who hit me was distracted because he was staring at the vehicle ... those of you who had an early CT remember the insane amount of...
Wow, 800 seems really high. I commute daily with the majority of the distance on the freeway at 80-85 mph and my average is much lower than that. I'm getting about 520-550 wh/mi this time of year (will get worse in the winter, of course). Do you have add-ons that are affecting your aerodynamics?
I went from a 4,000 VIN to a 73,000 VIN and I can confirm all the same improvements: more consistent build quality (no misaligned panels or large gaps), panel edges are no longer razer sharp, vastly more consistent panel coloring/scratch pattern instead of random spots and discoloration on my...
