Mark - what I did is
1. Make the edit on Maps, wait. I did call my edit <my address driveway road> ... It shows up on Google as "unnamed road".
2.When the edit is accepted and appears on Google maps. Do a Google navigation to that new endpoint and send it to the Tesla app on your phone. It...
I used google maps edit to add in my 500 ft driveway and now FSD can find, turn in and get to my garage. Not sure if you have tried it..... It's pretty easy just submit an edit for review. (Google maps)
I was going to ask the same thing... The tailgate closes but there is a motorized clasp-finish/retention. If that won't finish you get a msg on your mainscreen. That happened to me after my incident prior to me re-working the tailgate latch pin.
I backed into a tree similarly to what you did. My tailgate actually bent a bit . I posted pictures on a previous thread on what I did with the hinge. You can definately remove the tailgate latch pin and use it to adjust the close. My tailgate closes fine but the one side you can see the top of...
I know this doesn't comeletely solve the problem but a transfer switch with a 40A breaker behind it and a cable from the back of your truck to the transfer switch gives you a backup situation if you run low on powerwall. I know not optimal but that's how I am going.
Agree saw the presentation on modularity after the rear hitch test. The parts are expensive but the truck is repairable. Keep us posted and sorry to hear about it.
Same. Try holding the wheel and guiding it away from the hug, it seems to work for me and sometimes I think it feeds back to Tesla. But then it does it again :( sigh.
Mine has been OK but some things have been sketchy. Taconic state parkway in NY near 84 and I84 causes left-hugging big time suspect due to narrow road. Entry ramp madness has had the CT take wrong ramps (turn against traffic to take ramp not marked and then ignore yellow line on that ramp)...
Did you get feedback on the audio/horn message? I still have horn and audio - have not checked boombox yet. No issues with the shade other than it is slow to close / open and commands are hard to memorize. Let me know.
I'm thinking to leave the flat space for full size 4x8' items (6-12 in). I am playing with a tote-along solar that can charge while sitting - 400-900W of panels on top - in the closed bed I'll suspend from the L tracks a cross member/carrier for a battery /SCC /SOC /Inverter. Something where...
I'm thinking totally independent when driving. Use a big 12V bucket like a 12V 100Ah or 12V 200Ah battery to store. When parked solar + battery goes into truck SLOWLY. When driving solar goes into just the bucket. I'm thinking a system that can handle 4-8 Hr charging sessions at 3-6A 120V with a...
I'm thinking while driving I charge the 12V "bucket". No direct CT battery charging. That keeps it topped off so when parked that + solar allows me to plug. Kludgy I know, but I'll know soon how much I get out of it. I can see only 800-1200Wh possible. Think 3-4 mi/charge per hour if you are...
To get the 800W I will have w 400 rear and front. That's OK when parked. The front I will innovate stowage whilst driving. Have not solved getting at least 400W (rear) feeding the battery while driving. Should be fairly easy. That will still help. Gotta rake as much free energy as you can. I'll...
I'll reach out to you, I have 800W of panels that I am mounting to the top of the truck. 12-24V basic solar config (with 100Ah battery as a bucket). Use SCC + SOC + Inverter and wall charge cable to trickle when sitting. Probably 3A-6A 120V. The premise is using when parked at work, camping or...
I have the AWD and agree with above. Anyone near to me in NY I will pay $200 for 3-5 "launch modes" and get everything I was missing (unless I want to tow a 747 :) )
.
Noted, HA, I'm just proposing options whether it is single or dual pulley on the winch that is 1/2 the weight capacity of the truck (you might need more pull and more options better when you are stuck).
Not worth debating - just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. interested in hearing other...
