You know this is a forum for a Tesla vehicle right?
This is where expectations come to grow and flourish regardless of evidence, sensibility or practicality.
It's where the echo chamber amplifies them and encourages even further expectations to build and build.
Quick history snippet...
you've got three choices
Buy the Cybertruck and sell it for a large profit
Buy the Cybertruck and sell the Ford (for a loss)
Cancel the reservation and get your $100 back
that is a nicely thought out chart, although my own hopes are for slightly better ;)
In my head I justify the optimism on the causes of the slow M3 ramp, like over automation and unrealistic expectations of that.
Obviously the Y ramp benefited for similarity and those hard lessons.
So my hope is...
That’s a great idea!!!
No need to open the garage door to get gear out of the pickup bed :ROFLMAO:
I wouldn’t try using Summon to pull it out of the garage though.
for the folks late to the party and what four wheel steering is and if its so called steer by wire.
Rear wheel steering is almost always steer by wire, regardless of what the front wheels do.
Additionally the so called crab walking has been a part of almost every 4WS systems since they started...
I thought that too, but I realized that all the places you would have stored gear are now taken up with the camper. So the gear has to go somewhere else.
Nice thing with the SpaceCamper design is that it still leaves room for you gear - and you can sleep without having to do the full pop-up...
obviously lots misunderstanding about what NACS and CCS are.
NACS has "North American" in its name, which is a huge hint as to where its used :)
Reading the CCS press releases you would think that CCS is a worldwide standard, which at best is glossing over the differences.
The US CCS Combo1...
is it a problem? Maybe to the 1% of owners that might, on occasion, bushwhack through dense brush for .5% of their ownership experience.
Not a MASSIVE problem though - more like a mild inconvenience somewhere less then a destroyed headlight lens or other trim piece that bushwhacking is likely to...
Agreed - the debate for what the difference is between "proof" and "resistant" is pointless and entirely dependent on context. Some might say pistols only, to which I'd pull out my .300 Blackout AR-15 Pistol or one of the many .22 sleeved ARs - it would be impossible for it to stop rifle 5.56 or...
interesting - if it really was a Tommy gun, as in Thompson submachine gun, that's a .45 ACP which is a fair step up from the initial 115gr 9mm they claimed.
No way it's going to stop a rifle round, that isn't a realistic expectation. Stopping a .45 is already a step up.
I'm figuring that November release isn't us plebs and the 125k per year is aspirational and not including a slow ramp to get there.
Combined with my 101k queue estimate gets me somewhere around Feb-Apr 2025
If that 125k includes the ramp, maybe I'll be lucky and be Nov-Jan ?♂️
dunno - I think I like that lowered look. Not a huge fan of the big tire/lifted truck look.
Lowest suspension and these wheels will be fine for me.
Having the option to occasionally raise for ground clearance is great, 97.5% of the roads I drive on don't require extra ground clearance because...
