This has happened TWICE on my CT. Both times it was a Power Conversion System (PCS) replacement. First one took 3 weeks back in May. Second time was a couple weeks ago and took a week to repair. Both times it was mostly due to waiting on parts. Actual repair was 1 day.
Update to this is he refunded the full $3250 deposit. He respectfully asked me for a second chance with the promise that I didn't have to pay anything up front and I could pick another PPF shop in the city to inspect before any payment. I thought about it initially and agreed to give it another...
I took my CT in for an AC charging issue. When I booked the service appointment it automatically added the official recalls as part of the service appointment (sail applique, Windshield wiper motor, Flat flex harness).
By the time I dropped it off, and before they even inspected it 2 more items...
Quick update... I took my CT into service yesterday morning and like you they said they are replacing the Power Conversion System (PCS). This is my second replacement of the PCS. They gave me a 48-hour turn around and should be ready by tomorrow EOBD. However, last time this was replaced it took...
I was afraid it would be a hardware issue. My PCS was replaced back in June and it was a mess. They damaged 2 other components and most of the time it was waiting on parts to ship/arrive. To make matters worse they returned it to me with damaged interior door panels which then I had to wait...
Yeah, I figured that. They didn't seem overly upset but advised against it.
I really hope it's not hardware related because I already had the PCS replaced along with 3 other components and harnesses. It took almost 4 weeks and the service center is 2.5 hours away.
Quick update. I contacted Tesla through the app and a technician messaged me. The technician had full access to the logs and could see that I reinstalled the software through Service mode---which i tried yesterday after a suggestion from above. They said not to do that and that it is not a fix...
Sorry to hear that. I don't have my service appointment till later next week. If you don't mind either messaging me or updating this thread with what they tell you. I did put in a message through the app and asked if I could get a remote technician to troubleshoot. They said they would get back...
Back in May/June my CT was in service for almost 4 weeks because my AC charging never worked. I picked it up from Tesla and drove it home 150 miles and discovered that night it would not charge. Took it back to service and they ended up replacing a list of components. Here's my old post on it...
Thank you for the feedback. I don't remember the brand. I just know it was not Izonetk, PURE, Xpel, or Stek. The reason I know that is because I initially sent him a link to TSportline's website with 2-3 colors I liked and he said he doesn't use the brands listed on their site.
I spoke with him over the phone today and called him out. He took full responsibility and said he'll do whatever it takes to make it right. There was no argument on his end. He really wants to fix it and make sure I'm happy. I just don't think he can or has the skill do to it. I told him I want...
Oh man really appreciate that! I think I may take you up on that. My wife and 17 year old daughter are super talented artists--wife's an art teacher--- and both have an incredible attention to detail and quality. My wife came to me and asked if my daughter could wrap it and make some extra money...
