With the powershare there is a grid disconnect in the switch (from what I recall). My solar system will not power my home currently when grid is down, this will change today as my final inspection on my power walls and additional panels will be done this afternoon. With all of the PG&E rate...
It is my understanding that you are unable to use solar to charge the truck or power the home, at least without more equipment, without Powerwall. This is because of modern systems cut off electrical flow to prevent power backflow into the grid (dangerous for linemen).
I've had mine rotated twice at Les Schwab for free. I am buying another jack so that I may do it myself soon. I plan on rotating the tires every ~3,000 miles. I currently have just north of 15,000 miles on the truck.
Installed this morning and had it drive me to the gym. No interventions needed. On the way home I did intervene when I felt the truck was going to make an unprotected left turn in front of an oncoming car. In its defense it was dark and the car had really bright lights, likely it couldn’t judge...
Thursday I was driving through Escalon California and a group of teens were walking towards me. One of them gave me the one finger salute for no reason. So I honked the horn at him and he ducked as if someone was shooting at him. I really think he pissed himself.
Personally, I went with a blacked out sunshade for the roof glass. It is electrostatic and requires no clips to hold it to the glass. I bought it from ElecFresh on Amazon. Plus the fabric is a perfect match for the Alcantara interior and looks stock. I was never a fan of sunroofs/glass roof. The...
This post made me curious, and my off-peak with PG&E is now .49 a Kwh and peak .59 Kwh. Insanity. I have solar and my true up next month exploded. I have to call and ask about special rates for EV's and to have them check my meter. I am on the medical baseline program but it made no difference...
My quote was $14,000+ in Northern California. I passed on that to say the least. My panel required upgrade, and was on the opposite side of the house to be fair. I will eventually go the generator interlock route as well, or opt for powerwall in a few years.
I hear you, I was holding out waiting for the spare tire kit/compressor, but instead pulled the trigger and bought a spare mobile charger, two ramps, snow chain kit, NEMA Adapter Bundle, Universal Wall Connector and some odds and ends. It just worked out that it added up perfectly to $2,500...
I use the Lifebox under the driver seat secured with a cable lock. I prefer to keep the center console free for other stuff, and my state is a no-go for glovebox.
