Thank you for sharing. This is a massive fault.
Do you have the recording from the car cameras?
Really important for Tesla to own this problem and do right by you and all other owners.
Update:
It took almost a week of calls and messages between Tesla support, the certified installer and myself to figure out the problem with the Gateway setup. The installer had to come back onsite and work through it with Tesla on the line. Took 2-3 hours of tinkering with software configs...
As others pointed out, shop around. Last month Tesla quoted me $460/month for a new cybertruck. I ended up going with Progressive for $118/month. Geico was at $150/mo, etc.
So far, Tesla's insurance is far from it's original promise to disrupt the insurance industry with the lowest personalized...

Tesla Powerwall Support redirected me to Tesla Shop support, which does not have a phone line nor a chat option. Only email. It took them a week to get back to me with a vague response...
Confirmed. I tried the most basic cleaning option at two different automated car wash places. Just soap and water. Spotless result. No fingerprints, no bird drop stains, nothing visible I could find on the HFS.
I've had the same experience when I picked up my order last week of July 2024. Wide range of quotes:
- Progressive $110/mo
- Gieco $150/mo
- State Farm $180/mo
- Allstate $330/mo
- Tesla Insurance $460/mo
I am also left eye dominant and experience the same issues when driving my cybertruck in traffic.
I still love it and plan to keep it for a long time if it holds up as well as my lexus did before it.
Hopeful that a simple HUD accessory might solve the issue for us.
I've had my cybertruck for a few weeks now and about 1,000 miles. More than happy with it so far.
A tiny annoyance is that when I change lanes, I have to take my focus off the road and inspect the rear view display, blind spot indicators as well as the simulated car movement display before I...
