This is where my normal smug comment of, “might as well paint it” falls apart. It’s true that you’re covering your durable surface with something much weaker. Although replacing a wrap on a door is so much simpler and will likely perfectly match the color of the old wrap. Way better than paint.
I’ve had the same question. I use the same custom as the OP. I put it in beast mode from time to time when I want to do high speed cornering.
I’ve wondered if beast mode does any pack conditioning similar to what my X plaid does. I doubt it but have wondered.
If you have the data and you "do what I do," why wouldn't you do more than just remove Tesla and Rivian? Break it down by vehicle type. I know off hand that the Chevy bolt was given a Park Outside Recall because of battery issues. It would be nice to see what the data really says.
I'm mostly curious about all of the holes in the mollie panels. You would think it would make a very draggy surface. You would think a flat panel would be much better.
3xx KW/mile is pretty good. Only FSD gets around that good for me (mine is a stock beast). I drive like a stole it which...
Those "mollie" racks have to add so much drag to the truck going down the road. I bet a trip down the road that extra drag will consume more power than that 540watt panels can create in a couple days. With an EV efficiency is king even with a bugout rig.
Until Tesla offers a longer DCFC adapter, you're technically stuck slow charging outside of SC network. I use the slow chargers for overnights and it works great but you wouldn't want to do that on the side of a highway. Its important to have reasonable expectations.
Before you leave on a...
I think thumbs down is hilarious. It would be awesome.
Not ideal because sometimes I'm in our X and see a ?. I'd assume they would I know it's positive but maybe there are haters that also own a Tesla?
I'm annoyed that I paid for them but don't have them. Generally I really like to stock wheels with a small center cap. I wouldn't mind a purely areo plate or frisbee wheel cover for long trips though.
Looks like a great option but not often available. The availability of a truck full of sand and a loader is hard to beat.
I could actually see a truck full of sand become a standard piece of apparatus for any FD as EVs spread. Especially if they had some sort of easy offload option like a...
