I’m about to wrap mine in the same white. I assume those are gloss foundation decals? Do you have a photo of the CT logo on the back? Where did you get? Seems like a cool idea.
please share what you find. I’m thinking of getting a big soft sided cargo bag to use that’s the same size as the bed for when it’s raining and I have cargo that can’t get wet. Not ideal but also not horrible. Good luck tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.
Given the truck is water resistant and not waterproof, I’ve been thinking of ideas that are easy to solve the issue of traveling in the rain. Thinking about something like the link below that can fold flat and store in the locker when not in use then easily take out and still use the whole bed...
In addition to some dripping from the top of the cover, which I think weather stripping should solve…I think the majority of the water comes from the picture below. Same story on both sides. Seems the top corner opening of the cover allows water to find its way inside. This one may be a tougher...
Can you link to the tape you used? What do you mean by “took it apart”? Any more clarity on the fix would be much appreciated. Need this to be waterproof! That’s the whole point. I haven’t spent much time but the wet area is strange in that it’s only the bottom. Ie. There isn’t a long drip...
I’ve been debating vinyl vs ppf for a while. Seems with vinyl it’s best to ceramic coat to avoid fingerprints etc. given vinyl plus ceramic gets pricey, it’s close to cost of just doing ppf which seems way more durable. Not worried about the truck, but about vinyl chipping.
is there any reason...
Tried another brand of this. Worked great but left some streaks from where it dripped and partially dried. Any idea how to remove? I tried to re-apply. No luck.
How are people removing the rusty looking spots post delivery. I may bring the truck back in to let Tesla deal with it. They said to use citrus 77 plus. I’ve done that 5 times and it’s better but still not good.
also what do people use to prevent swirls and other marks while cleaning?
Wondering what a ceramic coat would do to prevent fingerprints. Has anyone tried?
I am still considering wrapping, but sort of like the look but hate the fingerprints.
I've heard a lot about Tessie and thinking of using it beginning at delivery. What are thoughts? is this the best Tesla app? How does it work for tracking battery health etc.? I've heard this is one of the best features.
I am planning to get my truck wrapped soon. I think I've settled on vinyl vs. colored ppf given the added choice of colors. I also don't love the added cost of the ppf. That said, I am worried about rock chips and dings on the vinyl over time.
I am getting lots of different advice from shops...
Looking for a flat repair kit. Thinking about plugs and a simple compressor that can plug into one of the outlets. I assume there is no need for sealant? I know that isn't good for tires longer term and wouldn't think we'd need it with plugs? Thoughts?
I know FSD isn't yet available for the CT, which is quite annoying given we're paying for it. Does this also mean that the alerts about being close to objects when backing up etc. are also not yet available?
I know there are several threads on this topic, but hoping to get the latest and greatest suggestions for hopefully preventing fingerprints and removing them.
Ultimately I plan to get the truck wrapped, but want to drive it for a bit first to ensure no major issues.
Also curious if anyone...
