While I accept the pretext, a lot of EVs would not have the space to add a ārange extenderā (Lucid included) without sufficient space. And even if they had the space, it would likely eliminate cargo capacity
I think a proper cost/benefit analysis is necessary with these 3rd party options.
#1: is the cost for x amount of range financially prohibitive for most CT buyers?
#2: is the range expected (and then produced) worth said cost (if within reason)?
#3: is the integration of said 3rd party...
So the Cybertruck will now be able to pull into my garage after a long journey on FSD, but I canāt even manually summon it to back out of a tight parking spot? Make it make sense
Probably a smart move. I will probably just wait for SBW on the Model S, and upgrade the whole vehicle then, hopefully with FSD transfer. These cars are not cheap, so an upgrade at 3 years seems silly.
Has everyone with a Tesla vehicle other than the CT gotten V14? My wifeās 2022 Model S (the refresh year) is still on V12. I was hoping to at least try it on hers first. But no dice.

No. Heās referring to the originally promised 500 miles of range for the trimotor. Not the current range. Heās saying the AWD supercedes its original range when announced back in 2019. So, as a value proposition, it is well worth the cost vs the under-delivered trimotor, which is 180 miles...
